Good luck with the ebaying everyone, not joining you this time but I'll follow the updates with interest :D

Don't forget to put them on 7-day auctions not 10-day ones if you want them to end at the weekend.

Evie82 you can always ask at the Drs surgery about the toys, the "wipe clean" plastic type are probably best and no soft/fabric toys as you can imagine the nasty bugs from poorly kids putting them in their mouth etc *ew*

I haven't done any sorting out this week really, I consider myself pretty much done now and in maintenance mode, but I'll probably have another look around in a couple of weeks.

I phoned them and said that on my last visit i noticed the toys were looking very old and worn, they laughed and said "more like ancient!" :rotfl:
They were thrilled at my offer, i have sorted out a box of books and shape sorters for them to drop in.
Have also just listed 10 bags of bits on freecycle this morning.:T

I'll be taking advantage of the free listing weekend as well, but think I will list everything over the next couple of days and schedule it to start on Saturday or Sunday, as Ebay will probably grind to a halt with all the activity :D

Im doing that too-have 15 things scheduled through auctiva to come on over Saturday and Sunday will hopefully have another 10 listed tonight as well! What do we all thing of the new final valuation fees being charged by ebay now????
:o 2008 will be the year I finally get organised!:o

Evie.. don't you just LOVE freecycle??

So far this month I have rehomed..

    a pile of bricks
    a shoe cupboard
    a buggy
    a tread mill
    2 toy garages
    a binbag of cot bedding
    a writing desk
    a snowsuit
and my mother took the children broken coat stand!

I have one person still supposed to be collecting a bag of little girls clothing but it doesn't look like they are turning up so I may reoffer it.

I have a curtain pole and a boys coat not rehomed.. I have practically emptied a room 16ft square between ebay and freecycle in the space of a couple of weeks.. it is amazing!

Need to sort through the toys next.

I am saving the shed until summer.. I'll crack it open then and see what delights are in there! i know there are several boxes of clothing and several more of toys.. and I think there is a babydan playpen in there somewhere!

Its incredible, I got rid of 2 bin bags full of clothes that dont fit me, a bin bag full of clothes given to me for my kids that dont fit. A bag of my OH's clothes from his "fat" days.

A box full of odds and sods from cables, wires, remotes, lots of old toys and books too

All totally useless and stuff that has been listed on ebay and failed to sell.

I just hope it doesnt all re gather now i have some space.

MY flinging for the day is done.. I have filled a bag of dressing up bits for nursery and a bag of outgrown/shabby stuff for their spares box.. 2 carriers gone. I found a roll of binbags as well from a previous flinging day so I am a happy person.. lol

My number one concern is that I'll refill my bit of reclaimed space as well.. I shall try very hard not to though. My house is starting to look a bit empty really.. considering I have no furniture in one room bar 2 shelf units.. a sofa, a pc and a bunny cage in another and a 3 piece suite and a plant in the other... our problem now seems to be the little cluttery bits of scrappy toys and piles of paper work littering the place... they are such hard work to clear and it doesn't seem to make as much difference as getting rid os an unused cupboard!!

    Hi there,

Hope I am not too late to join in. This morning I have declutter all my stuff in our bedroom, just left with the absolute bare minimum. Its excellent!! I have decided to deep clean each room as I declutter so I have moved everything out the room and dusted everything, cleaned all the windows & took down the curtains to wash, got rid of all the cobwebs, sewpt all the floor, now all thats left is to steam clean the floor ans wipe down the woodwork. Well that and get BF to declutter all his stuff. I love this thread!!
