Managed to get a few little bits but nothing major. The meat section was pretty much inaccessible:eek:. You know the sweet pies that T's do in their bakery section? Rhubarb, Cherry etc. Can you freeze them do you think? Got one for 10p but not sure if should eat tonight or not. Also, can you freeze croissants etc from the bakery section?

Hey LLB as many have said before yes they'll be absolutely fine frozen. Infact I have one in the freezer atm :p

I just pop them in in the plastic case they come in, I haven't had problems with freezer burn previously. Also I sometimes use one of my more sturdy knives to cut a wedge out of it when it's frozen rather than defrosting the whole pie. I hardly ever oven bake them, I'll just defrost it at room temp and then pop in the microwave for 30 secs per slice ;) Perfect with 6p value custard! :D

I freeze every bakery product going to be honest and have never had any problems. Croissants, donuts, even in store bakery cookies. They're never quite as good as fresh, especially donuts as the sugar doesn't stay crystallised but when they're 5p/10p etc etc how can you resist?!

That quote wasjust for the labour!:rotfl:
I was also quoted £20 per sq M to remove old ones!!

That was Wickes for installing their bathrooms btw. Not going there again!

I've ordered our kitchen units and appliances from Wickes and negotiated some very good deals (for a retail DIYer that is). Not quite as good as Howdens for the units but the best I could find for appliances after my discounts. Along with B&Q etc I know that Wickes are horrendous for any fitting charges. A friend bought units from B&Q and was quoted £3000 for a dry fit... a local joiner charged £800 for a detailed fit. Unfortunately too far away from me to use the joiner. Shop around is the advice and talk to other people about the work they have had done:)

ARGH! My Price check has come back for the Pilgrim's Choice as a NA :mad::mad: I'm hopping mad - should've been £2.49 back for each, and I could've got something else if i'd have known it wouldn't check. Compares on Mysupermarket - same weight and everything. Should've been a £7.47 JTD in total as I bought three blocks. Anyone got any suggestions of what to do? I'd get the B1G2F in Coop but i'm not sure I can return cheese to store? Is it worth a call to CS?

When I have had something not compare that I thought should, I have always emailed CS and got either the money or clubcard points.

I think it is easy to call someone a troll simply because they challenge you or disagree with your views.
NOPE, only when they disagree with Tesco's own policy's
Be it with a new worker or anybody that works there!!
Tesco should train 'their people' to do their job properly
But by god, I'm glad they don't. Otherwise we wouldn't get so many bargains!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm exactly the same....in fact we have had some 6p donuts today. I love the cheap croissants as they are my favourite, never thought to freeze the cookies though, I'll have to try that one. What I do with them if they are getting a bit soft, is whack 'em in the oven for a couple of minutes and they crisp up again.
I freeze stuff that says keep refrigerated too. As long as it doesn't actually say "Not suitable for freezing" in it goes!
My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.
