    Afternoon Elite,

So, results are in on the schools and we didn't get in to the one we wanted. Looks like I'm going to be doing a lot of driving come September :(. Feel absolutely gutted. My hubby thinks I'm being over-dramatic as it is still better than ending up with a closer school that we really didn't want but it just bothers me having to travel 25 mins 4 x a day for the school run. Then we've got play dates etc which are prob going to be harder too as other kids parents aren't going to want to come all the way over to us to pick up/drop off their kids. The stupid thing is, is that people who put my first choice school down as second choice have got it yet we put it down top and haven't got it.

They're bound to have some "turnover" if it's a reasonable sized school - have you considered moving your child a bit later on when a place becomes available? That's how we got our DD into a local school that's very oversubscribed when we needed to move her part way through secondary school to get the options she wanted. You just need to keep checking with the LEA regularly. (We actually moved our daughter half a term earlier than we planned just to be sure of getting the place).

It worked out well for us, so maybe you could see how the other school goes and keep this in the back of your mind.
    Hope is not a strategy.

your red light is on so I assume you went Miss Laid?
So did I and I'm really glad I did.
    This is what I bought:
    4 packs of batteries
4 SA tikka masala (the elusive ones had just been re-stocked)
    2 pints milk
    Sellotape RTC (thanks OP)
2 reduced mugs - in white, says "his mug" in blue and "her mug" in red. RTC 77p each. they are goin in the Xmas cupboard for stocking fillers.
    A pizza express pizza

    Total cost £36.36.
(then SA discount £12, JTD of £3.95)
Total to pay £20.42. And off I trot to CS for my batttery DTD of £17.88.

    Grand total of £2.54 :j
Plus, I beat my own personal best womble from yesterday. got a corker of a womble for £125. BUT the final number 4 digit number to input in poop checker is missing/ripped from the till
Think it starts in a 5. What should I do? Just take a guess and worst case, i have to input from 1 - 100. It's got a CC on so i dont really want to ask CS to re-print.

dont like to disappoint but you'll need to try from 000 to 999 (potentially) as the last part is a 4 digit code :(

think i will pop to a different Ts tonight where I had 4p success last year.....DD2 has done something to our V+ box and it wont work so hubby will not be impressed when he comes home...though we do have a few hundred DVDs to see us through the night :) we just dont tend to like the same stuff!!!

3dogs....loving Alan's hats....he also looks a very friendly and cheeky faced cheerful chap :)
hoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!

Luckily, i can tell it begins with a 5 so I think I'll input 20 numbers a day until it pops up. If i then get less than 10p I'll be swearing my head off:rotfl:

Edit: I just re-thought about that Looby - why did i think I only had to input 100 numbers and not 999??!!! boo hoo hoo.

That was me, but it wasn't delivered by T's. Motherbear picked them up for me in the only store (miles away) that stocks them up here and her DH very kindly dropped them in to me on his way home from work.:beer:

Sat in the blood donor centre having done the deed. Free tea and biscuits :-) gonna go home shortly and put my feet up for the rest of the day. No super hot bath for me tonight

If you are able to give blood, you should. It doesn't hurt much and you might just help to saved someone's life :-)

im not allowed any more, constant anemia means i need it more than they do:(. was gutted when i got the letter telling me thanks but no thanks your blood is not actually good enough to donate. i did manage to give about 10 pints before i got booted out and have persuaded DH 2 DDs and younger DDs BF (whos got an uber rare blood group) so ive not completely failed.

well done you on doing such a good deed
