The 4 packs were on the checkouts in cardboard boxes for me. I think they were somewhere else as well though as CS brought SELS back with her. There weren't any SELS where I got them from.0 -

Remembered seeing the same chocs in my other local marked at a tenner so thought I'd give a scan and BINGO that's what they came up as! Bizarrly, the yellow label was correct - ending 24/04 I think so must have had 2 barcodes of the same item and some scanning at £4 and some at a tenner I guess. Wasn't brave enough to buy loadsI was tempted to give this a go last week but chickened out.
They have two different shapes of 600g containers which have different barcodes on them. On the £4 one the tub is spherical and the opening to the tub is at a 45 degree angle. The £10 one is the new batch and the opening is flat at the top and the front/back sides are smooth.
I finally grew a pair and went for DTD on this today!
I was in an extra and they had a huge "bin" type display at the end of an aisle that said "Thorntons Moments 600g jar Better than Half Price. [STRIKE] £10 [/STRIKE]£4". The top row was made up exclusively of the jars that scan at £10!
They must surely have caught out loads of people with this trick so I didn't feel so bad trying for my DTD
I bought 3 jars for a total of £30 (one to put out at DDs 1st birthday party, one to go out at my mum's 60th and one for my SILs baby shower)
I got £36 DTD, so all three jars were free and I got £6 off the rest of my shopping :j:j
CS didn't dispute the DTD as they agreed it was clearly advertised at £4 for 600gr Thorntons Moments Jar
They did have a good look over the two different packaging types and discovered that the £10 ones are actually vegetarian and alcohol free. Thats why the two jars have different barcodes, but only one goes through at the reduced price.
They were still happy to honour DTD as the sign wasn't clear that it was only the normal type that was reduced and because both types were on the same display
So watch out for vegetarian/alcohol free jars of Thorntons moments scanning at £10 in a store near you and get paid £2 to take each one away when you claim your DTD!
I can confirm that they are absolutely lovely (I couldn't resist sampling them)Apparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -

There was two point of sale displays the other day. One in the far corner with electrical stuff. And one near frozen aisle. Both gone:(0 -

Got a 2p price check back yesterday, I'm so tempted to print it
Print it off and then take it to the T store that really hates you and buy a carrot or an onion and take it through the till of the worst T harpie - the look on their face would be priceless!

Sat in the blood donor centre having done the deed. Free tea and biscuits :-) gonna go home shortly and put my feet up for the rest of the day. No super hot bath for me tonight

Someone ordered an online shop that was delivered yesterday afternoon (maybe Decay or HC but not sure) - i remember seeing their post about having baked potato with the simply Add chilli on and waiting for the T delivery
Have a look back on yesterday's posts from then and ask them home much it went through at... sorry, running out the door for a T/battery hunt :rotfl:

That was me, but it wasn't delivered by T's. Motherbear picked them up for me in the only store (miles away) that stocks them up here and her DH very kindly dropped them in to me on his way home from work.:beer:0
