Got a bit trouted today - entirely my fault, though. After reading about 4p items I went to my locals and scanned a few scarves, that came up as 4p. I got excited and scanned a couple of more. My happy scanning must have attracted too much attention (even though I do this every now and then) as one of the clothes SA's popped up behind me and said they couldn't sell 4p items. Played dumb, left the items with her. Most likely everything will have been taken out back and dealt with by now, but a few odd bits and pieces may linger. Am annoyed with myself, because I got carried away and should have kept a lower profile.
On the other hand I went to another store and bought just two items - one 4p the other £1 - so am so tempted to go back to my local wearing them and see if I can sneak some 4p items too - though I doubt any of the ones I really wanted are there anymore.
If it helps anyone, even the stuff that was reduced to £3 or £2 is coming up as 4p. Or at least it was, in my local. HTH
(But not the £5 boots, sadly. I also scanned those. Yes, I'm an idiot... Sigh. :P )

And I love the fact you edited the post because of spelling and the only word you spelt wrongly was spelling!!! Lol!Gemini_Jes wrote: »Thank-you to whoever mentioned the 1p chocolates...managed to get several boxes of the Valentine hearts this morning, was trouted at SS till by assistant saying she was not allowed to sell 1p items. Supervisor came over and said it was OK as they were discontinued stock. Am sharing them with Smart1e:):)
While looking for the 1p chocolates I came across a lone box of Gaylain shells, NOT the 250g box with an open window but a smaller box with 11 shells and no window. Scanner in store was not working but scanned them at SS but 'product could not be found' message came up. Assistant went to check price and came back and refused to sell them with the age old excuse of 'something' wrong with them. Maybe one to look out for in other stores.
:T:T:T:T:T I need more chocolate!!

Dad just said that he hasn't seen mum yet tonight because she is having a BRAIN SCAN!!!!!! Why on earth would they be doing that?????????
Surely that is not normal procedure after a hip op?
Maybe they are just checking for possible causes for her confusion, to be honest, I would be more worried if they WERENT doing a head scan. Hope it doesnt show up anything dodgy xI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. Rushed to Mr T - Got to the Sale Aisle - no gloves, scarves or hats to be seen :eek::eek:
Said to a SA that I saw some gloves on sunday & there are not here now.
Reply was they had to clear everything as it all scanned at 4p & RPD (return to depot I think) & they couldn't sell it at 4p :mad: so it's all in boxes out the back & going to local charity shops. At least it's not being destroyed:):)

...'Staff Discount' is printed on the receipt under the 'Total'
Ahhh...that obvious eh?!;) Thanks missy - mine weren't staff discount then, just odd!!jumblejack wrote: »Here is my version of a pork n apple picnic pie:
We haven't tasted it yet. Will serve up cold for tea (and give dad the other half:))
WOW - not only does that look delicious, it looks unbelievably professional - clever you!
Just been to Express in F.Place, B/5t0k3 and got some Veet strips. Yellow label stating £3.50 - got charged £4.67 so went to CS. She tried to refund me the £4.67, and then wanted me to pay the correct price after. I just said I believed it should be DTD and she gave me such a look! Then she made the excuse that she wasn't normally on CS desk, so didn't know. Don't know about you lot, but if I'm at work and don't know, I would go and check with someoneStill, she gave me the DTD pleasantly enough after making slow work of it - think she thought I'd get bored and disappear. Thanks to OP. The SEL was actually for different ones, and they were in the wrong place apparently. Online it shows the sensitive pack are reduced to £4.67, but the regulars to £3.50 - both from an original price of £7.00 : Can't help but wonder why they do that!
Back to catch up!0 -
Afternoon all. Just popping on quickly to say I'm alive and well as I haven't been posting for ages but have lurked occasionally. I'm sure I've been missed;):rotfl::rotfl:
Up to my eyes in shopping around for the best deals on kitchens, appliances, building materials etc so Mr T has had to take a back seat for a while.
I've had no time to go to Mr T but I think I might have got OH tuned in as they came back from Mr T with some simply add meals yesterday which we will be having for tea tonight:) (thanks to OP)
Hope everyone is ok although I haven't had time to catch up.
Did notice that there are lots of new names when I logged in....thought I'd got the wrong thread:rotfl::rotfl:

hi artha wondered where you had got to ha, sounds like you're on with a house build or extension..good luck
remember to 'stock up' on handwash with all that dirty work ha :rotfl:0 -
You quite often see stir fry veggies reduced - Sainsburys and Morrisons are quite good. I've got cubed pork in the freezer
I can't get to Sainsbobs at whoopsies time, due to only having the bus service as my means of transportation (and walking 2 hours to the nearest is not ideal, though I'm sure my body would thank me in later years for it!) so have to keep hoping for some T's whoopsies. Then again in my local everything goes when it's at half price, so we never get the truly awesomely discounted ones.
