SA - Simply Add - I went in search of them to the west but none to be found think they stock them in St0ckt0n but the shelf has always been empty when I have been0 -

Dad just said that he hasn't seen mum yet tonight because she is having a BRAIN SCAN!!!!!! Why on earth would they be doing that?????????
Surely that is not normal procedure after a hip op?
Hi Jumble jack
Did your dad mean an MRI which could be normal after a hip op. My dad used to make jokes about looking for brains in knees etc when people had MRI scans. I think he thought for a long time MRI Were for brain scans then he thought he was funny when he worked it out.:T:T:T:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I miss his stupid jokes0 -
I just have to clear this up, for a diabetic, 5.8% IS excellent control, however for a non-diabetic (from what I've found online) that reading is between the non-diabetes reading of 4-5.9% and the pre-diabetes reading of 5.7-6.4%, meaning that it's possible you are either normal or pre-diabetic.
He really should have gone into this in more detail and they should be keeping an eye on your HbA1c just in case, either way it's best to avoid sugary drinks as these are the WORST for blood sugar and spike it really high really quickly, though not so bad taken in small amounts with food.
I have to say though, if your glucose drink test was normal, you've probably got nothing to worry about but I would definitely double-check with your doctor as pre-diabetes needn't mean you get the full whack.
Unfortunately for me, no-one told me PCOS vastly increases your chances of diabetes and I went straight from normal to diabetic, no warningOh well, should be able to get it to go into remission if I lose ALL my excess weight, I'm already seeing an improvement!
♥ Thanks Kadison - the 'pre' word has been used & I do have yearly glucose drink tests. Our Family Motto ~If all else fails - read the instructions...

Ah yes, Simply Add. Saw the "space" in Stockton where they should have been just after the glitch appeared when I popped in for a loaf of bread. Mentioned it to OH who came back with some chilli and tikka yesterday. Plenty to be had but it was mainly meatballs which is the sort of thing are trying to avoid eating on account of escalating cholesterol levels and other health issues:eek: I'm definitely avoiding looking for any 1p chocs as we just give them away and I've got so much on my plate(home improvements) to spend time looking for bargains to give away. The rest of the family will just have to go and find their own bargains at the moment:cool:Awaiting a new sig0 -
Hi guys. Not managed to find any 1p chocs
checked out 3 stores yesterday, nothing. Someone mentioned it earlier (sorry forgot who it was), the only hearts I found were the mothers day hearts scanning at 50p. Also scanned other mothers day items but they were barely 50% off
The chocolate shells, which size box is it? I remember seeing these a few weeks ago, the Valentines ones, they had the barcode cut out on the outer packaging and normal boxes slotted inside, so they scanned as normal..
Is it the Valentines ones that are 1p? Also I cannot find the size in the posts.. 180g? I have seen lots of normal boxes 250g boxes but I guess they scan at price0 -

Evening everyone.
I ache all over after pushing mum around the hopspital, they had moved the CT scanner upstairs since her last visit and the closest lift was out of order. Had already pushed her from the parking on a local road as the queue for the hospital car park was backing up on the main road so decided to give it a miss as unfortunately I am not the worlds best time keeper as Debsjc will confirm.
Mum didn't have a good time as several people including a doctor tried to get a line in but in the end they decided to do the scan without. The doctor said it was not fair to put her through anymore.
I really just wanted to go home after but mum was all for a trip into town. So back went the wheelchair into the car and out again in town. Feel as if I have had a good work out though. We did enjoy a nice lunch out.
We popped into Wilkinsons and they had a display at the front of the shop with a few 50p and £1 bargains, bathroom/laundy type things. Managed to get 2 over the door towel rails for 50p each, had one in my hand and decided they were a very good buy and before I could pick up anymore a lady with a trolley came over and cleared the lot. Well she thought she had but luckily I found another at the bottom of the display. She must have had over 6 in her trolley. I would have like one for myself and one each for my older 2 DDs. I could not stop myself from saying out loud, "Oh I would have liked one for xxxx" to my mum, but I could see she was not the type to share as her trolley was full to overflowing of the reduced things.
No 4p hunt for me today, I wonder if I have left it too late, any locals ventured to my stores and found anything? Think I'm too shattered to bother. I am so unfit, lack of all the bargains I blame it on, no marching back and forth to the scanner. :rotfl:0 -
I am to catch up shortly, I'm soooo far behind!
I just wanted to tell you all something... I was making my decision to smoke my final cigarette as I was driving home, and thinking I hope my Grandad can see me and would be proud (it was seeing him struggle to breathe in hospital that spurred me on even more)
Anyway, as I decided on the time I saw a beautiful rainbow...some may remember that at my Grandad's funeral I read a poem with my brother "Look for Me in Rainbows" so in my mind I know he's looking out for me and I am now even more determined! Silly some may say but it helps me feel better and closer to him....
So I would just like to proudly announce that as of now I am a NON SMOKER!! :j
Special thanks to French Knickers for reminding me about my Allen Carr book0 -
Well done you:T:T:TOnwards and upwards you'll soon be scanning 20 at a time ;)I really to go to T's for 4p stuff but I know Mr Lala is still traumatised from last night;):rotfl:
You could offer him a modelling job with the hats/scarves and gloves! A bit of ingenuity on how they are displayed may cheer some people up when they are posted on here!0
