Thank-you to whoever mentioned the 1p chocolates...managed to get several boxes of the Valentine hearts this morning, was trouted at SS till by assistant saying she was not allowed to sell 1p items. Supervisor came over and said it was OK as they were discontinued stock. Am sharing them with Smart1e :):):)

While looking for the 1p chocolates I came across a lone box of Gaylain shells, NOT the 250g box with an open window but a smaller box with 11 shells and no window. Scanner in store was not working but scanned them at SS but 'product could not be found' message came up. Assistant went to check price and came back and refused to sell them with the age old excuse of 'something' wrong with them. Maybe one to look out for in other stores.

Dad just said that he hasn't seen mum yet tonight because she is having a BRAIN SCAN!!!!!! Why on earth would they be doing that?????????

Surely that is not normal procedure after a hip op?

Had you mentioned about her hitting her head? Maybe they're just doing it to rule this out anyway.
I don't know but hopefully you'll find out and it's good news, thinking about you and your family xxx

I bought 2 of those the other day, am waiting for some whoopsied veggies to use it in. Pretty sure you can use it with anything, as long as you like the flavour!

You quite often see stir fry veggies reduced - Sainsburys and Morrisons are quite good. I've got cubed pork in the freezer

Secondly, blood tests are in! This will mean nothing to those who aren't diabetic and aren't watching cholesterol but my Hba1c has come down from 8.5% to 7.3% (7-7.5% is normal) and my cholesterol has gone down from 6.3mmol to 4.24mmol - yipppeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!! :o

    :T:T Well done You :D

    Interesting that 7-7½ is normal.
My Dr was convinced I was diabetic because for years I had been going to Dr about my on & off foot pain.
Wasted loads of time having to do fasting tests & 2 hour tests involving drinking sweet drinks & bloods taken before & after
The Dr was quite disappointed in telling me I'm not diabetic :(
My Hba1c is 5.8 yet they tell me this is too high. I've just Googled Hba1c (thank you Kadison) & it falls into 'excellent' ???

As you all know my foot pain was eventually found to be Gout - & could of been treated correctly years ago instead of trying to find diabetes  )

    RANT OVER :o:o:o

Now about these infernal itching lower legs.......... aaarrgghhh :o:o:o

On the reduced shelf in my T today I found

Sharwood chow mein stir fry sauce 195g
    barcode 5000354201561

for 33p :T Now I can see why they are reduced as it says you need to use it with rump steak strips  Rump steak never comes into this house.

So can I use pork cubes instead? Or chicken?
    Both would be good
on the lookout for this one:T

Afternoon all. Just popping on quickly to say I'm alive and well as I haven't been posting for ages but have lurked occasionally. I'm sure I've been missed;):rotfl::rotfl:

Up to my eyes in shopping around for the best deals on kitchens, appliances, building materials etc so Mr T has had to take a back seat for a while.

I've had no time to go to Mr T but I think I might have got OH tuned in as they came back from Mr T with some simply add meals yesterday which we will be having for tea tonight:) (thanks to OP)

Hope everyone is ok although I haven't had time to catch up.

Did notice that there are lots of new names when I logged in....thought I'd got the wrong thread:rotfl::rotfl:

    See you later
