Good to see you back, I think being on the thread helps you realise that most people have struggles whether its a health or relationship one and that you are not alone. Hope !!!!!cat is okay, sorry can't remember her name & you & your son get your lives back, tiny steps you'll get there

'Cookie' is very fine, and thankyou for remembering her and asking. I think my son would be so lost without her now..... he isn't that much of a people person, can't seem to deal with getting human hugs or kisses but seems to have a great rapore with animals, especially cats. Such a shame there was no sign of her previous owner and it appeared she had just been abandoned, I don't know how people can do that, but we are so greatful she 'found' us so all has worked out well in the end! :)

I don't post for weeks, and now this is my 4th post in a short time - us women once we start we can't shut up!!!

I thought I'd give you a quick update on my older dog, Arnie. Some of you will recall that he had facial paralysis and had an MRI and spinal tap at the Small Animal Hospital. The MRI was clear and just showed some damaged nerve. The spinal tap was inconclusive as there was blood in the sample taken and they didn't know if it was caused by bleeding from the brain or they'd caused some bleeding taking the sample. Arnie had been doing great and he'd only got a slight head tilt until last Monday evening when he started stumbling everywhere and falling over. My DH had to take the day off work on Tuesday as he wasn't fit to be left and when we contacted the Animal Hospital they said to take him in on Tuesday evening and they'd do another spinal tap on Wednesday.

To cut a long story short, his results are normal and they've diagnosed vestibular and facial neuropathy and he should improve in time, although he'll never be 100% and there's a high chance it will happen again. He had to spend a couple of nights in the animal hospital as he wasn't well enough to travel in a car as his symptoms are similar to someone having vertigo.

We had to put the pup in kennels for 4 nights as Arnie wouldn't be well enough to cope with an 11 month old boxer knocking him over. We've also fenced off the pond and greenhouse in the garden as we don't want to risk him losing his balance and hurting himself. We're even sleeping on the lounge floor with him as he normally sleeps in our bedroom, but still isn't able to cope with stairs, not to mention jumping on our bed.

I'm fortunate as where I work is closed this week so I can stay at home and keep an eye on him. I'm hoping he's improved greatly by next Monday when I return to work as I'll be so worried about the pup playing rough with him.

I was in a Ts Extra earlier and they had whoopsied all multipacks of Walkers crisps down to 40p if they contained the "Mystery Flavours A/B or C". I wonder if this is because the have released new multipacks that say what the new flavours are...? The whoopsied packs are good until either 21st of 28th of April.

I bought three different multipacks and for just £1.20 that got me:

    4 packs Salt and Vinegar
    4 packs Cheese and Onion
    4 packs Ready Salted
2 packs Mystery Flavour A (Sour Cream & Spring Onion)
2 packs Mystery Flavour B (Lincolnshire Potatoes and Brown Sauce)
2 packs Mystery Flavour C (Birmingham Chicken Balti)

I'm happy with that, and also happy with my Milkybar Xmas Selection Pack that was screeeeeeaming "buy me, buy me" from the Easter clearance section ;-)
Apparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen

I see that some of you have a fetish for crocs. I've decided that I have a mug fetish!

My boss was telling me a few weeks ago that they have 2 mugs that they use on a daily basis (and one of those is chipped). They also have a set of 4 china mugs that come out if they have visitors. I was telling him that I'd got loads and at lunch time I counted well over 50 of them (there's only the 2 of us in our household). Well, I've now added to my collection thanks to Mr T's sale. I bought 4 of the Easter mugs at about 24p each and also 8 of the country cupcake mugs. The cupcake mugs are beautiful and such a bargain at about £1.78 for a pack of 4.

I also bought some soft toys in the reduced section that had been from Mother's Day - they were about 85p each and are ideal for puppy toys after removing ribbons etc. I've had a few childrens soft toys from charity shops for 50p each and they seem to last longer than the proper dog toys.

i got mine this afternoon...16 bottles of Fairy platinum washing up liquid...and 6 1.4 litre bottle of Flash with Febreze ;)

I now have enough Fairy to sink a ship :rotfl::rotfl:
hoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!

I was in the garden today with the grandchildren and my little grandson pointed at the sky and said, "Look, penguins!" They were seagulls.

    They are lovely aren't they!!
A couple of weeks ago I had my two grandsons in the car and we were playing a guessing game of "Animals beginning with..."
His turn was an animal beginning with F....but as he's only 4 we use the phonetic alphabet so it was a fff rather than an eff.

We couldn't get it so had to "give in". He was nearly beside himself with excitement....."Frocadile"!!! he struggles with saying his cr's :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.
