Recycling Ink Cartridges for Tesco Clubcard Points
Hi Everyone
Sorry I haven't posted for a few weeks as life has been chaotic so have only had chance to do a little lurking and not thank everyone's posts as I like to do.
I don't think this has been mentioned as I've done a quick search, but for those people who send their ink cartridges for recycling in exchange for Tesco Clubcard points, from 8th April you can now send in 100 cartridges per year and they still give you 100 points for each cartridge that passes their test. I'm sure it was only 30 cartridges per year before, so it is quite a leap.

I've sorted my cartridges out and for those worth up to £2.50 I've sent for Clubcard points and if they're worth more I've sent them independently so I can have the money.
Hugs to Mr and Mrs 3Dogs - I truly admire the way you are getting on with life and I hope I could cope half as much as you two if I was in the same situation. I'm so pleased that you have the support of good friends and your cyber friends on here.
Hugs also to other people who are going through a troubled patch at the moment - I sincerely hope things soon improve for you all.0 -

I hope the photo link works and it doesn't come out too big, otherwise i'll be in big trouble as soon as i'm back!

After all the plates of food on here I thought i'd post a pic of the 'dinner' I so kindly treated my son, sis and parents to today....... Tuna salads, egg salads, chicken and bacon salads, cus cus salad, and 2 boxes of melon and grapes. A grand total of 50p for whats in photo. I must say it was nice to be able to treat everyone else to dinner for once!
Still more to be eaten tonight. This is thanks Mr A, and their butcher man who walked past the veg display last night and told the young SA if she didn't put the prices right down, there is no way the stuff would sell.

Aqua Pura Water
For those people that buy bottled water, in my Tesco yesterday, they had a huge display of 6 x 1.5 litre bottles of Aqua Pura marked up at 49p. I grabbed 3 packs as I thought it was bound to be an error but they scanned at 49p. I had a look online and it shows as £1.99 so I don't know if the offer has expired, or if there's an error. It's not worth buying if travelling on foot or push bike as it weighs a ton.

Results of cholesterol now in...6.8
Still no explanation for the shortness of breath though. Doc says one of the blood tests he did would show a weak heart and all was ok. I suggested COPD from all the years I smoked even though I gave up 7 years ago.
We are investigating that avenue now and spirograph test booked for 16th may.
Why does everything take so loooong though?

Well done on such good savings. I got some amazing bargains also in Mr A yesterday, just half an hour before closing. It's the first time I've hit it for final reductions. There were steak and kidney pies and minced beef and onion pies for 2p each (individual size portions), prawns were reduced from £3.50 to 25p, 2 slices of water melon for 1p, chicken pasta salad for 20p, ready to roast veg 20p and baby bananas for 10p a bunch.0 -
