I've just realised that my car insurance is up soon, not too sure when because it was due when DH died this time last year but can't remember if I re-newed before or after the funeral (8/4). I don't know where the documents are and broker is closed until Tuesday or Wednesday. I'm hoping it was after because that would mean it runs out on the day they open again.
Keeping my fingers crossed but not using the car just incase.
Surely they would have sent you a reminder? Are you sure you didnt sign anything to automatically renew? Some companies do that.0 -
I'm sorry but this is a touchy subject with me at the moment as my mum has just passed and my brother could barely wait for her to be cold before asking what he is gettiny money wise from her.
Whilst your mother in law is still alive her home and bank balance are her business. I think her husband should have left it all straight to her with just gifts to other family and then she is free to do as she wishes with anything her and her husband accrued in their lifetime.
All my brother's wife does is talk about how her mother and father are spending their inheritance on other family members - I am sorry but it isn't anyones inheritance while they are still living and breathing.
I don't want to be unkind to anyone on here or offend anyone.
I don't think you are being unkind (although I'm sure a few guys WILL be offended). What you say is much along the same lines as I feel - I have seen too many cases where elderly people are afraid to spend their own money. Where extended families are concerned there is always going to be plenty of room to feel aggrieved/upset/left out etc over real or imagined 'unfairness' and its no good letting it spoil relationships.ELITE 5:2

hello, popped into a T's on way back from getting DH as drove right past one, it was absolutely packed. crowds round the chilled whoopsies, not a whole lot bakery wise, overheard some staff mentioning doing the flowers soon.
Just seemed like everyone was panic buying and trying to get everything in stock even though store will only be closed for one day.0 -
anyone need any help on ssm? I'm there now x0

Blimey, Laura Cello has just proudly arrived with 3kg of RFQS broccoli that she was paid 7p to take away from W@itrose. Anybody know any good broccoli recipes?0

Checked Tesco store locator again. Holiday open hours are not mentioned on there. The phone number option for Easter holiday opening hours just states that they are closed on Sunday. No mention if when they close tonight so I imagine it would be midnight????:A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A

The 24 hr store near me closes at 10pm on a Sat and then opens at 10am for Sunday trading, so perhaps they will close at 10pm.0 -

My mum and dad had a sign hanging in their living room saying "We're spending our childrens inheritance";);)

Ok, not T's (and I have a LOT of catching up to do) but I had to post this...
W'rose had a crate of broccoli reduced and on offer... and it ended taking off a pound something for every three you bought... so I got 9 and a bag of granola. Got tired of walking around the shop trying to find something for 7p and decided- what the heck, I would just pay at the SS....
the message came up "SEEK ASSISTANCE" (oops, I thought)...but NO PROBLEM!!!
I just had to put my card in again SO THEY COULD PAY ME!
:eek::D:eek::D:eek:
I did tell people, and surprisingly a few listened
(the circled bit says 'CREDIT' my account!)
