I'm just re-stocking so I've been batch cooking too - I can't bear to spend hours cooking and cleaning a kitchen after a day at work!

That is great re: your utilities. I'm loathed to switch as I'm not sure where to start and if I ever have a problem I can always get hold of nPower really quickly. Their electricity is cheap but find the gas expensive. Need to look into it more I think :)

I was hoping for an NSD yesterday - on the way back from work popped into S@ins for fruit and came out with loads of official Olympic merchandise, key rings, water bottles, and best of all, packs of Team GB racers with 5 Corgi cars for a quid. I'll be using them as fillers in Christmas gifts for both young and old kids(-at-heart). Fortunately, I had a GC which covered that cost. So, no actual money spent. :) Also, booked free airport parking for my OH's trip abroad by taking advantage of a 'Price Guarantee' scheme. So, that is another £90 into my OP pot.

Those Corgi racers look good - especially for the money. Wonder if they have them locally to me reduced as this would be a fab stocking filler for DH.

Free airport carparking is definately a bonus!!

    Morning all.

This MrA glitch may not last long. But for those looking to replenish their toiletries/cleaning/fizzy drinks cupboard, look here. Remember to get atleast 8 items for the APG and don't forget to submit your receipt details to the APG website to get your voucher.

For those looking for Christmas pressies for kids, MrT has reduced prices on some of their stock in the toys aisle. I guess they are just making way for newer higher-priced stock. So take a look if you are interested.

And lastly, a fantastic site to help your kids with reading. HTH.

For those on 02, priority moments is currently giving out codes for £2 off this week's M@S Dine-In which makes it worthwhile at £8. HTH.

Made an OP of £400 this month. Yay!

  • Good Morning all,

On my 02 priority moments, there is a new offer for free frappe from Esquires Coffee House. I do not have any near me. But, hope someone reading this with that coffeeshop nearby will take advantage of this.

I'm hoping to do some gardening today. The perennials that were delivered this week are languishing in the porch and need to be planted ASAP in their final locations. The rotisserie chicken from M@S needs to be cooked. I had a good rummage through the shelf to pick the biggest one of the lot. :D Seedless grapes were a quid each for 400g pack at MrT. So my favourite fruit of the week is grapes :-)

    Have a good weekend all!

  • Another NSD. Got the gardening done and it has started raining here. So, no need to water the newly planted perennials :)

For those who missed out on the Sc0ttish Power's energy fix, I saw it on 02 Priority Moments with £60 CB for dual fuel switch, much better than £42 on TCB and £co. Also, the WHS free dictionary and M1llie's cookies have reappeared on mine. HTH.

  • A restful Sunday so far. I have stocked up the freezer, pantry and cupboards taking advantage of the Asd@ glitch. Also, two whole chickens which were supposed to be 2 for £7 scanned at £1.92 each. So, added saving there.

I have picked some cherry tomatoes (around 500g) for roasting tonight. It was from a 50p plant from MrT, all my other tomato plants succumbed to infant mortality. There are a few peppers in another plant, but they are not big yet. Picked a few apples and loads of pears, so no spending on fruit this week.

Great news about the chickens and tomatoes, I think we will try tomatoes next year, lots of my friends have reported poor tomato harvests this year though with many still being green :(

I'll keep an eyeout for the other freebies on O2 thanks for posting them, always reminds me when I read your diary :)
