My advice is to steer clear of WAEplus.
They lie about product stock availability on their web site. I ordered an in stock product, then after their committed delivery date I received an email which said "Unfortunately we have been updated this item is no longer available due to issues with the manufacturers. This product was not part of our core range and some times we rely on external sources for information on product lead times and stock availability, this was not fulfilled."
They lie about shipment. Last Tuesday I received an email which said: "Your item has been shipped it has came from our European warehouse not our UK one, that's why there has been a bit of a delay. I do apologize. You should receive your goods by tomorrow or Friday the latest as I've tracked it and yesterday it was in Northampton."
In the end after 2.5 weeks they cancelled the order. I am now waiting to see if I get a refund.0 -
Well, this is all a surprise to me. I ordered a new motherboard for my PC a few months back and it was delivered on time, in good condition and it is still working (it's in the PC I'm typing this on).
I was about to order a new hard drive from them today but after reading all these other posts I'm having second thoughts (I was looking for a voucher code for them and this thread was near the top of google search results)0 -
i got my refund in the end on sat i dont know if its tho nat west or them but im glad its all done with. the only thing i can say is DONT use WAE plus. And i would start your charge back now as they not sent your goods on time0

WAE+ is a shockingly bad company. We never received our goods; they never gave a tracking number, just promised a date over the phone which the goods never turned up on. Now I am fighting to get a refund, which is not forthcoming. I expect I will have to force it through my credit card company. So they take your money, don't sell you the goods and won't issue a refund...what would anyone call this? Because words used on review sites have included thieves, fraudsters, scoundrels, liars etc... But they are having reviews removed. But hundreds of people’s hard earned money is in their bank account, and we are left with nothing but to complain loudly in hope they treat other people better in the future and we get the refunds we rightly deserve. I am furious at how many companies online don't care about their customers. We are losing high street shops
the other day I saw people's devestated faces in my local Blockbuster after they might have just lost their jobs and they were packing up the shop. Their notice was very short. I feel for decent people and feel for companies like Blockbuster. But these online companies who skirt the law and don't wish to be called what they really are, need bringing to their knees. They would not be alive, never mind trading if they faced all their customers at once! Avoid them like the plague, they are cheap for a reason.

To add to the above: It isn't worth putting a review on Trustpilot, they remove them and shame their members by leaving their names for all to see. I have asked for my account and name to be removed, but they have treated me in the same way as WAE+ So no surprise as to why WAE+ use Trustlesspilot. I have since reviewed on another site, so I'll see how far and wide WAE+ influence spreads.
Please everyone contact Watchdog, Trading standards and your credit card companies. If they trade this way after they are reprimanded, they will get in ever bigger trouble and their name won't be much better than Jimmy Savile.0 -
To update:
I have requested a refund for the goodness knows how many times, because they don't send an acknowledgment email. I have to request a new password if I am to contact them, but I don't get a new password, they just take me to my order. So I have been thrown off their site 'probably' for reviewing them and requesting my money back.
I want to cancel the order, but the cancel form only shows the items price minus V.A.T. So because I don't know if they will be fully refund, I have had to ask them again if I will incur a charge. I spoke to Trading Standards and they inform me that the best way to request your money back is to put it in writing and send it via recorded delivery. I will do this immediately.
I don't know if anyone else has noticed that you will incur a charge for sending items back? So it is best to cancel your order if you have waited too long. Then you have the right to a full refund.
It is a battle, because this awful company makes it so. Once they know you are angry with them and ask for a refund, they seem to make sure it is difficult. So they are as bad as it gets!!!!!0 -
Has anyone cancelled their order because they never received goods and incurred a charge? I would be interested to know if this company are doing this. Because they are only within their rights to charge for shipping and/or re-stocking.0

Letter sent recorded delivery this morning. So we are giving them their 30 days, which I am sure they would insist on. But at least our credit card company will force the refund if they do not comply with the date we have set them.
We have since done a lot of looking into this company, they seem to have gone through review sites and delivery firms. So they are causing bother everywhere they tread. Soon they will be so filthy even WAE+ won't want to touch itself.
They make all kinds of excuses including: Item delayed by courier, items delayed at warehouse. Which translates.. (Can’t source item for price we advertised, so you can’t have it.) They don’t refund you unless you ask several times, and then they don’t because of a mystical technical error. So they can take money and keep it, but they can’t refund, they haven’t worked that bit out yet! In my case they won’t even communicate because we reviewed them on TrustlesspPilot. Which keep the negative reviews down to create an ‘acceptable‘ rating. Which is BS!
I'm sure they are making a lot of money from the misery of others when they deal with this vile company, but the mighty often fall!
Anyway, if you want a refund, cancel your order and put it in writing ‘sent recorded delivery’. Of course report them to everywhere you can, scoundrels win if the little guy doesn't stand up to them.
I really think this is possibly one of the worst trading companies online. I shop online all the time and have never come across such a leach. Oh well, we live and learn.
WAE+ = What Ar5e Excrement + plop0 -
Yup, used them recently to purchase a Blackberry Playbook. Best price on the internet for it.
Just received it yesterday by UPS (trackable) and have no problems with it.
Took about 2 weeks from order to delivery so not the fastest, but I would consider ordering from them again.0 -
When we researched internet reviews of We Are Electricals and WAE+, a puzzling pattern began to emerge. The reviews either gave the company as low a score as possible – typically headlined "Avoid!" or "Nightmare" – or were glowing, with headers such as "Great price, fast service!" and "Couldn't ask for more!"
It's an unusual distribution of results, and we were not the only ones to notice.
