  • How any credit card works with them is beyond me.

They are ridiculous! Thank your lucky stars you are not one of their thousands of customers waiting for items they never stocked!

All I know is they make money from stealing custom from those who stock items to sell, they steal money from customers who haven't a clue that they are this corrupt, and they trade in a name so filthy, they make Paris Hilton look like a sweet little virgin.

Don't buy from these scoundrels!!!! Best advice anyone will get regarding this grotesque company.

  • I'm another fooled customer of WAE. Bought item over the telephone and not on the website. Was not told the item was out of stock and their website was showing item "in stock". Paid by debit card and their upgraded delivery price.

1 Week later they sent me a receipt? No! An email saying they are having stocking issues.

I rang back and canceled my order. When asked when I will get my refund [because at this point I started to distrust them] I was given nothing certain, only that their refund department will email me when done! I did ask to speak to someone but no one was available.

I've since sent 3x emails and spoke to them twice on the phone. I will be one of those ANNOYING customers who wont go away until I get my money back. So far its not looking good. May have to wait 30 days or more. Clearly their accounts team are part part part time, because they have no work to do because they clearly do not process refunds very often.

    AVOID!!
  • You need to contact your credit card company asap, refunds take a long time with wae, even credit card companies have to give them 45 days.

Also if you have time, contact trading standards and write a letter to watchdog. Every letter counts, they need to be on tv and shown up for what lying theiving scoundrels they are.

I emailed them again today, the only response I get is from a Sarah Swadkins from customer service - management@waeplus.com. Same company line -

    Dear Mr ...

I fully understand your complaint issue and as I said I can only apologise for the poor service received .

I can only escalate the matter and our accounts will make sure your refund will be issued within a feasible time scale .

You will be updated via email.

    Kind regards
    Sarah

I've just got off the phone to Citizens Advise/Consumer Direct and reported them but as present the company are within legal bounds. I reported them as scamming people - taking payment on false pretenses. Citizens Advise say then will pass the info on to Trading Standards for them to consider.

Please let me know if there is any more ways I can report them or review them as people need to be warned. Companies like this need to be shut down or go out of business.
  • Just spoke to my bank and asked them about their "charge back scheme" which Citizens advise advise me about. My bank are now sending me a dispute form to sign and it's looking promising that they will be able to get my money back.

I just checked my WAE order status online and they've updated it to "refunded" instead of "cancelled". Time will tell if this is true!

A reputable company would never put their customers through all this!
  • They promise the world and deliver nothing. They take your money very quickly, fail to fulfil their side of the agreement / contract to supply the goods that you've paid for. They rely on you to discover when there's a problem. When there's a problem they tell you that you own the issue, not them. They will charge you more for the same product that you've already paid for and then, when you ask for a refund they refer you to their terms and conditions which state that they get to keep your money for 30 days.

Please avoid this untrustworthy organisation unless you have more money than sense.
  • For what it is worth, please sign the online petition. I can't add the link, but you will find it by search: 'Shut down WAE Plus for conning millions of online shoppers'

The complaints against this company are in the thousands. Two programs worth sending letters to: Watchdog and Don't Get Done Get Dom.

Credit card companies won't like this company, trading standards will eventually have a good case against them.

Go to newspapers and see if they would investigate, the guardian has already looked at fake reviews, more needs to be done though.

  • Hi everyone. Thanks for this threads, I found this by doing a google search for ways to complain about wasplus. We have been ripped off by them too. We bought computer goods to the value of £150, they are not refunding. So all the advice here we will take and we will report them to Trading Standards, and make our credit card company get our refund for us. It is like trying to get blood from a stone with this company, they really don't want to refund, yet they won't send our goods as they are out of stock. Furious we are, they weren't out of stock when we ordered. I do believe this is a con to make money from goods they don't stock. I hope bad things happen to this comapny, they deserve it. I'll write to Watchdog, just to make sure everyone else gets heard.
