I'll be the latest in a long line of people to say this story is incredible! You've managed to do so well and pay off so much so quickly. You've managed to save more than we earn pre-tax even with me doing extra things! So very well done to you two...

I'd love to do a mfw challenge but to do that you need a deposit and a mortgage haha! So I'll read yours and you are doing very very well.

We're getting there on a deposit but I want to save and my wife wants to spend, so we compromise and spend... joking aside - she's buying in slowly so its been interesting to see you get the OH involved and then see him at times go over the top. Brilliant inspiration for myself!

Good luck - I myself am working on a challenge to do and then a way to convince my wife to take it seriously.

Aw thanks - you are too kind :)
It is soooo hard when your OH aint bought in but just keep nagging (I found that works!)
Start a 'saving for deposit diary' - ultimately it still is on the way to being MF I reckons.
I think the thing is - wages do at some point go up and I really did just spend everything I earnt and was still always skint! Having the plan gave me the kick up the a££ to get promoted too (don't get me wrong I still hate working - I'm not one of lives natural workers!!)

    New lorry......New horse???!!!

I literally put the cart before the horse!! My current boy wont load so I don't technically have anything to go in it at the mo!!
I now have to buy a horse that will fit in it too - ok a pretty dumb way of going about things but it was in impulse buy (and knocked 25% off asking price - very MSE eh?!)

You have bought a lorry WOW!! Impressive. Now you can really make sure next horse loads by taking lorry along. If new horse doesn't go in then you can refuse to buy, at least it will make the shopping for new horse easier :)
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Ceiling is 7'3 which apparently takes a 16'3hh but that seems tight to me. He apparently is 16'1hh but seems bigger. Maybe he could just bend his knees a little?!

    Its Friday!!!!
OMG I have such a busy day! OH going to service my lorry for me :)
Gotta go get some bits, working, horses, dentist etc etc. Gonna drive my lorry to the yard later and try and get my horse in it - I am very sure it is not going to happen but he'll have a laf evading the ramp for an hour so at least he will be amused :)
