Oh gosh. 21 isnt so old these days. What does he do/not do?

We have trialled a pony at a livery yard and the livery owner could not have cared less. It does sound though like she wants you to deal with all the faff and the hoof kickers.

Hum yes I think she does!
He's an ex showjumper so a lot of miles of the clock. He is brill in the school / jumping but is not a great hack! He has sarcoids which I think might put people off.
Goy my horsey friends coming round tomorrow so going to ask their view too as part of me wants to keep him but I know its not sensible (I think?!!)

On the MSE front - a bit more saving this month to take my funds up to £2700 which I'm v pleased about.
Got a busy weekend with the friends over tomorrow and sunday. Luckily my mate got me a 10 litre box of wine from France for £20 so that should see me though!!!

Would you keep horse if you didn't have to buy him? I only ask because you could offer that as an option to her. She might like to know he has gone to a good home.

From what I've seen selling horses is a frustrating thing to do what with people saying they can ride and not, not turning up time etc. And from the other side of it I lost count of how many 'mummy's little darlings' and 'absolute treasures' I went to see that were badly schooled, tried to dump me and were clueless about lots of things.

I have a friend with two horses that are about 26 and still going strong, one of which won his level at Veteran Horse Society Dressage championship a year back.

Entirely up to you - but - difficult position to be in I think.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

I think she might sell him to me for a few quid but I need to decide if that's right. I would love to go to competitions / the beach etc but he wont load (and believe me I have tried!)
I also would love to be able to hack out more but he is hard work to hack.
    I'm soooooo confused!!!

He doesn't sound like he's want you really want. Horses take some much from you, it's only fair really that you get the chance to get what you want back from the deal!

I think she will to struggle to sell him with sarcoids except as you say to someone clueless. I guess the brutal question is would he be worth going through the trauma of eventually having him put down?

Its an option although I honestly think she should just take him back. Ok she doesn't have permy work at the moment but get a job! She also doesn't want to travel him all that way but get some sedaline in him and hire a lorry! He was so good this weekend - he must know something is going on :D
On the MSE front didn't spend too much this weekend but had friends round both Sat and Sun so my house is upside down and I'm knackered! 2 hours to get to work this morning :( need to focus on retirement plans!!!

Good result today - a guy at our yard has given us approx 2 acres of extra grazing free of charge :) maybe not that exciting for most people but will hopefully put off buying hay for a month going into winter. In return I sorted out his electric fencing coz he couldn't work out how to connect it (he doesn't seem very practical bless him!)
    Halfway through the week everyone!!
