Tried that - they are very hardy birds! :(
    Happy Monday all.
Went to see the 'house' on Sat and the estate agent didn't even bring the keys to the 'house' because its soo bad its only really suitable for knocking down!
It does have planning for another house but at the price they are asking its at the top of my (make believe) budget and I know that its not a good investment once you put the house on it once you add up all the costs - this is backed up in my view by the number of developers that have looked at it and discounted it. Apparently they are not open to offers and therefore it'll probably be on the market for another 6 months!
Stables and barn were fab though!!

Not actively looking...probably not but just browsing property with stables !!!!!! style websites means there will be another viewing shortly I bet :rotfl:
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Back now from holiday with the parents. Need another holiday now!
Horses owner turned up yesterday and she is now not taking him back with her in a couple of months as per original plan and is probably going to sell him. This is mostly because he hates travelling and it'll be a 6 hour trip and she doesn't have a steady job there. That leaves an issue - he is too old for me to buy (nearly 21) and I don't think he is worth much but not sure anyone else is going to buy him either as he is not only older but also not an easy horse. This probably only means he will be bought by someone inappropriate. I'm not sure what she is going to end up doing but of course I don't want him to end up in the wrong hands - tricky!

Oh no Laura, this is not your responsibility to resolve! Could you buy him cheap and loan him out to someone capable of bringing him on despite his year? Is she expecting to get a lot from him? I hope she's aware of the situation she's putting him and you in!

I literally don't know anyone who would take him. He is not easy! I worry that someone inexperienced will buy him thinking that old horse = happy hack.
She does know that she needs to take him back in 2 months and was really good about that. In terms of viewings she has asked if people can come to my yard. I'm a little worried about the yard owner having issues with that (if the rider doesn't have insurance for example) not sure how that would work?
