Hi all
Final lodger payments all in and just £6k left. I'm hoping I'll get about this for my yearly bonus (I get 125% of whatever they award so we just need to wait and see what they award!) reckon I might be a few quid short but it'll be about right. That will be paid at the end of next month so not long until I find out!!
Next on spending list is repaint the lounge after leaks (will this rain ever stop!!!) and then some new wellies as I got a very wet foot this morning!
Hope no one is getting flooded....Mortgage starting balance 2011 ... £170k today £1.5k

Mr Watty uses rigger boots and says they are great but a bit *clumpy* . Oh and don't put your leg in a bucket of water - well - why would you ??? I dont know! But Mr Watty did and of course the boot quickly filled up with water as they are not as long as wellies :rotfl: And he was suprised :rotfl::rotfl:Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Apparently they are not as well made as they used to be. I regularly see people walking around in them in London so more of a fashion thing now I think!
I do have a pair of muckers which are fine but I actually have to walk thru a stream at the mo to get horsey out of the field so I do need something 100% up to the job!Mortgage starting balance 2011 ... £170k today £1.5k

I have a very old pair of hunters which are fabulous. Mr Watty has been through 2 or 3 pairs in half the time! Wouldn't spend the money these days. They are no where near as good. Local farmer suggests buying the cheapest wellies and just accepting you will throw them out after a season. I love my winter riding boots. If anything a tad too warm ..but..they were £60 (red face) and are waterproof to ankle but not above.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

I have Hunters but they are Balmoral Neoprene. More expensive than normal Hunters but really amazing quality. I expect them to last me forever. I am on year 4 and they are like new.
