    Morning
Its about 10 degrees colder but still lovely!
Nice night out last night (on expenses of course!). Off to go meet the clients now and then a late flight home tonight - all this work will be worth it next year!

I have now spent some time going over all of my finances and have done the maths on my target. In a nut shell I think I can make my last general overpayment in Jan and then if I put my bonus (if I get it!) in at the end of March, that will be me done :j

I need to OP £3.5k per month which is what we have been doing - this means keeping a lodger, sticking to £100 food budget and hope the interest rates stay low!
I will then add my final work sharesave that matures in Nov (£6k for a £1.8k investment) and the £2.5k I still have from my last shareshave. I think I was lucky the shares did crazily well!
I then have a £900 OP for some extra work I have done and between us do another £3k of work between now and Jan (this is tough but possible). My bonus could be anywhere between nothing and £12k - the last 2 years I have got £5k so need to aim for £6k this year - again quite tough but possible if I work really hard!

I think it will be a really hard 6 months but its 6 months - that's nothing right?? I think we can do it....

  • Oh my God, that's so exciting! :D looking forward to seeing how the next 6 months pans out. What do you think you'll do? Stay put and live for free in your current place or step up to a more expensive home?

    He he thanks!
I'm defo going to stay in this house - I like my house, its big enough and I would need to find about £300k for they type of house I want next and I don't have that!

Will probably not have a lodger (I like them in the house but OH doesn't!) and maybe go to 4 days a week if possible

Longer term plan is to retire early - life is too short to spend time working :D
