New horse all settled in. Going to try and take him for a hack later. Although they are not cheap to keep they do mean you have time to do nothing else so I swear they work out cheaper than not having one !

So yesterday I noticed that the crisps in the vending machine at work are 10p more expensive than in the canteen!! I never go to the canteen as the food is rubbish and overpriced but I will be getting my crisps from there from now on! (I know I should buy a multi pack but I would eat them all in one day so not really a good thing to do!)

Horse has turned into a total headcase! I know its just coz everything is new and exciting but just bringing him in for he tea last night has left me feeling like i've been beaten up!! Hopefully tonight will be better!!

So after my massive flight delay last year the airline have actually paid up the compo!! It took a while and we had to pay a company £20 or something to chase them (our letters fell on deaf ears!!) but we have got there!!

Thats the best part of £1000 to add to the pot (our whole holiday only cost £1200!! so its like getting a free one!)

I've just had a quick look at your thread and you are so positive! One day we hope to join this board, but for now we are concentrating on paying off some debts we have. I always find that when the daily grind is getting me down a quick look on MSE is a great way to boost morale and your thread has helped me decide that as soon as we can we will be aiming to MF.
Fingers crossed you will reach your target in just over a year! Amazing. Mx

    Hi Sugarwalsh and thanks!!
Sounds like you are totally on the right track to me - good luck!
Its so weird how addictive this can all be. This forum really helps too because of the like minded people and the nice people that take time to reply and encourage. I haven't even told most of my friends about my plan because the few I told in the beginning kept telling me I was just lucky and seemed a bit jealous. Now these are people that go on holiday 4 times a year / work part time etc. I'm happy for their choices so just want to keep a bit quiet about this! As I say its nice to meet like minded people. Can't wait to see your MFW diary on here when the time is right!

Thank you, Laura. Luckily my OH is now on board - he hadn't realised how stressed I was about the debt etc and the fact that it wasn't ever gong down. It encouraged him to sell an heirloom (Just about to finish on Ebay) which although gorgeous isn't doing us any good sitting there. Plus it's large, taking up too much space! We are now starting to come to terms with budgeting and I feel very strongly that by the end of this year we will be debt free and can start making inroads into our mortgage.
As for not telling anyone, I rarely tell anyone anything like this in real life. Currently I am dieting (since Jan) on the 5:2 and managed not to tell many people, for some reason if you confide too many people seem to think it's ok to have an opinion!

You are so right!! I'm only interested in positive opinions! Although even I know I am sometimes slight unrealistic (I geniunely believe if I want something enough it will happen!)
