  • Hi LauraJo, there's a great slow cooker recipe thread somewhere - probably old style. Worth hunting it down :)

Slow cooker - biggest tip - ignore recipe guidelines about using masses of liquid - not needed and ruins the flavour

    Thanks both good tips
Got lodger moving in today so that's another step forward. Now just need to train another one to treat the dogs like dogs! My dogs massively take advantage of people! :)

First couple of days of lodger going well.
Also done my first lot of batch cooking ... Well I didn't do the cooking but gave instructions. £9 worth of ingredients which has done 8 meals... Not sure if that's good or not but seems reasonable?!

A HUGE lasagne!! It's lush and still got half in the freezer! Got mackerel fishcakes tonight - spent £70 in Mr T which hopefully will do main meals until about the 23rd with a veggie top up in the middle. Trying to come in around £110 this month for the 2 of us???

    Morning!!

Good news - OH got a £300 bonus from work. Cracked though and got a new addition to my family - a very pink Hetty!! She's the only one in my house that cleans the mess rather than makes it! I think we may need to spend the other £200 on fixing a damp problem tho :( borrrriiiinnnnnggggg!!!!!!!

If I have a claim on TCB showing as confirmed, does that mean the retailer will pay it?

usually yes, but you have to wait until it moves into the next column until you can claim it. I have had problems with one retailer who confirmed it and left the amount sitting in that column for a few months. TCB finally paid it to me from their own funds as a goodwill gesture when I questioned it.
