First house - how exciting!! Good luck on the completion. I'm glad my thread has helped! Just try and chuck in as much as poss and especially things that you wont miss - pay rises, refunds etc. Its amazing how quickly you'll knock that 25 yrs into shape!!

Thanks, even if it's only 5-6 years it'll be better than nothing. I get a quarterly bonus (only £2-300) but that'll be going towards overpaying unless I really need anything else. My new mortgage enables me to pay £499.99 a month without incurring any charges. Not that I'll be able to pay that much but it's nice to know.
    Starting mortgage balance 22/04/2013 £71,250
    Overpayments to date £410
    Current mortgage balance £70,650

    Mc that is well funny!!
We've had some fab news today....
We went on hols a while ago and our flight was delayed by about 8 hours (well actually we got half way, got engine failure and had to come back home!) anyway.... We put in a claim after advice from mse saying the law had changed. Well several months later they have agreed to pay out! It's £485 each which was £100 less than the whole holiday! Haven't got the money yet but a letter to say they will pay. Can't bel it... That'll be a great op!!
