Ittttsssss Frrriiiidddaayyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One week left in my miserable job. One week left of cough and sneeze filled trains!!
Went out for a nice dinner last night to celebrate although only had 2 glasses of wine which was very reserved for me! My friend did my lashes first - a bargain at £10 (she didn't want to charge me but I felt mean!)
So now I have got my life back on the straight and narrow I need to start thinking about the next MSE plan.
1. Build my extension. I *think* I have just about enough from my redundancy, savings and general scrimping from the last few months (see I haven't just been all spend spend spend!)
2. Save £100k by the time I'm 43 (7 ish years). This *should* allow me to retire at the same time as the old man. It will mean not over spending on the extension (which I see as an investment) and going back to being good with my money. It means saving around £1000 per month which I think I can do if I hit bonus in my new job and just be sensible (and I'm thinking most people would pay that on a mortgage so it shouldn't be impossible right?)
Will update signature with new challenge to keep me straight...Mortgage starting balance 2011 ... £170k today £1.5k

Last week in this job!!
Can't wait until Friday!
Hope everyone had a good weekend?
Hosted a family BBQ on Sat and asked people to bring drink. Already had burgers and sausages in the freezer so only had to get a few bits. Left over salad, rolls and cheese will all be eaten over the next few days!
My August lodger working out well. He is just Mon - Fri for 4 weeks. Very young but seems house trained and likes the dogs.
Dog in bad books as he (accidently) bit my finger and my nail looks like its gonna fall offits really gross!!
£1000 accumulated in joint account - I wonder if I can sneak it out and put it somewhere where the other half wont notice it? I know itll get spent if I leave it in there!! Is that wrong to hide it?!Mortgage starting balance 2011 ... £170k today £1.5k
