Hello - its been a while
I thought I would have a quick shuffle back in and see if anyone is interested in any more updates!
Things have been hugely busy and distracting but I thought it is about time I did another post
Where to start...
Well I got made redundant
Some family stuff went really badly horrible
Got another job which I can't do and hate
Confidence hit rock bottom (which is unheard of for me!!)
Horsey suffered due to my nerves (I suffered more due to being on the floor more than on the horse!)
So I have spent the last couple of months giving myself a MASSIVE kick up the backside and sorted my life out.
Horsey has just gone to a new loan home (to a lovely girl)
My family are hopefully now in a safer place.
I have just put in my notice in at work and....
hopefully I am just about to agree a contract with a new job..
Anyway back to the point of the forum...
Mortgage is neutral (and by that I mean I have money / assets to pay it) but I haven't fully paid it off because I probably am going to drawn down some cash for an extension and with our rates / what they are offering, it will be the cheapest way to do this.
So all in all, everything is good and time to put a mini wobble behind me and get on with stuff.
Hope everyone is doing well. I have been following a few diaries in secret and pleased to see the spirit is still fighting fit!Mortgage starting balance 2011 ... £170k today £1.5k

Was thinking about you only yesterday. Lovely to see you posting. Sorry about the tough time though - glad the corner is turned and you are back on the up againMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -

Hi LauraJo,
Your diary was one of the ones I read that inspired me to start my own, and for that I thank you massively. Look forward to more updates on your diary, take care xxMFW

Morning all!
Thanks for your lovely comments - atypicalblonde - loving the name he he!
Tube strike in the big smoke today means its quite quiet in the office - does anyone know if we can make a claim because I can't use the tube part of the travel card (or will they just tell me to get on a bus?!)
On the subject of trains - made a claim a few months ago coz the train was late (again!) which they turned down. I appealed via a quick email and £15 is coming my way - lesson: its worth appealing!
In other amazing news - I have signed the contract for my new job. I negotiated hard and managed to get a few more pennies and 5 days of leave - you don't ask, you don't get right!!
I now have Director in my job title - ooooh fancy eh?!
In less MSE news - I'm gonna celebrate my socks off tonight with bubbles and steak! At least it will be Prosecco rather than champagne so that MSE right?!
Have a great day y'all!Mortgage starting balance 2011 ... £170k today £1.5k

Oh god no! No offence to people that live there but I couldn't think of a worse place to live! I love visiting but its so constant I couldn't ever imagine having any peace and quiet!
