Hi.
Here I am at work again. Having trouble with my keyboard at home. Vowels do not work and the keys are sticking  . Anyway read the posts and Ida Good luck and Smilealot see you on Sunday.
No post for me today :j . Logged on to my First direct account and they have charged me interest and late payment charges  . They know my predicament as the cheques were cashed for my token payment and they were in the same envolope as my explanation letters. Still was to be expected and as Monty python would say 'Always look on the bright side of life' . Hope you are all snooring contendidly and I will try to bash my keys at home in the vain hope the vowels work. Very reminesicent of trying to ring the bell with a mallet at the funfair.
I would love to be in Takheshi;s castle or It's a knockout (Very old tv prog)
Speak to you tomorrow
All the best

Thanks YM. As last night's winner maybe you could think up a new competition for us to play when I come back on Sunday? Something to look forward to :T Might help the hours go past a bit more quickly for you.
Take care,

Hi all. Still on my money saving crusade. I took four children and two grandparents to Bridlington yesterday. Usually I spend a fortune on ice cream, fish and chips, plastic swords etc. I set myself a budget and gave myself £40.00 for the day and I came home with £13.00 change. I really have (or seem to have) the hang of this money saving malarkey. Just hope I can keep this up!!! This forum is great. I always felt a little ashamed of myself for getting into financial difficulties but this place is brilliant as it keeps me focused and reassures me that I am not the only one in this situation. I also like the fact that no-one judges or points the finger and everyone support each other. Keep it up!:rotfl:DMP starts: 01/05/07

Morning everyone, well i just had to phone HSBC this morning and find out whats going on.
I think that they have to be the worst bank in the world!!
They said this morning:
We have accepted the DMP, BUT then only if its through the managed loan.DONT think so.
I told her no thanks and wouldn't be signing it, as the interest was ridiculous!!! She said that what would happen now would be that the payment for the loan would go out of my current account still and then because there is no funds would be returned and then they will be charging me £25 a time for the privilage.
After missing five payments, they will send me a final demand for the full amount and then if i don't pay then the debt will go to a DCA for them to deal with.
I just don't understand them, they are just making my situatuion worse by piling on the charges and at the end of the day will have to wait longer for the whole amount to be paided off, where is there common sense???
sorry for the rant but they are the only one out of 13 creditors that havent accepted yet, and they only ones that are hasseling me!!
Im sure they will keep ringing me though!!AGRRRHHH!!!!
Hope you are all ok and have a good day, looks like its going to be nice weather again
Lots of love

hi everyone,
just an update,
MINT Have been ok sent me information to give to CCCs they are now defaulting and teminating our account.
HSBC They are passing it onto an agent who are prepared to except the reduced payments. the account is now closed and the charges are suspended.
GREAT UNIVERSAL Have excepted our DMP.
HALIFAX Have choosen to ignore our letters, but have cashed our token payments. Have sent us letters with charges for a failed DD for the loan, which they will not let us cancel and charges for the account now been OD.
Should I now send another letter to halifax telling them again??????????
AMANI XXX0 -
Thanks for the warning on HSBC. Does anyone else have any problems with them who doesn't have a loan with them? I have a CC and OD with First Direct and am not really looking forward to dealing with them after seeing everyone's experiences.
Also have Mint, GE Money and Great Universal. That's all my debt. (A huge chunk with each, except GU).
Edit: Thanks Amani, just seen your post. Gives me a bit of hope!!!working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Newlywed: GE money accepted straight away with mine, but im not sure if thats because its one of my smaller debts!! Great universal, i think is the same company as littlewoods and they accepted aswell, not sure on mint though. I am hoping with reading previous posts from people that once HSBC pass on to a DCA they are more likely to accept the reduced payments, fingers crossed anyway.Amani seems to have had luck with that one!!! Just gotta wait five months first!! x xPROUND TO BE DELAING WITH MY DEBTS:D
