Hi Sea
Guilty - and Deidre was sobbing and neck popping as only she can -"oh Ken its all my fault I'm her MMMOTHER"!
I loved Neighbours when Scott and Charlene were in it (and the hunky Mike phwoar), and Loftie in Eastender with 'Chele and Sharon oh those were the days.
I used to watch Childrens Ward (although 17 years ago I wasn't a "child" must have watched it with no1 son) quite of few of the cast have become celebs. Nothing can touch the original Grange Hill with Tucker, Trisha and the gang even the nasty Richard Hillman from Corrie (another corpse now - if you're a man don't move to Coronation Street!!) was a teacher at Grange Hill omg he must be old now cause I was 12 ish when it started!!
Look what you've started - tv nostalgia now, surely we're not moving on from sweets perhaps we can do the two simultaneously. Let me think who can remember when Starburst were Opal Fruits and "made to make you mouth water". Or "what has a hazelnut in every bite .... Topic, thick milk chococlate to your delight ...etc" .
Its taken so long to finish this post there are probably a million more and no one will know what I'm talking about - ho hum.
love to you all
xx

Loved opal fruits!!
:rotfl: at deidre's neck popping! My mind has now gone blank at any other programmes - ooooh actually does anyone remember that live programme on Halloween once that everyone thought was real but actually wasn't - think it was on BBC1 but can't remember - I remember sitting in my mum's room watching it - think my mum was a t parent's evening! Terrified and couldn't move! (we had no living room at the time as the ceiling had caved in during my bday party!).

Joek pickled onion monster munch were better, but they did stick to the roof of your mouth and made your breath smell, so I stopped eating them when I was about 13 cause none of the boys would snog me, been married nearly 23 years so started eating them again now .....:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: !!!
Sea funny how everything was huge when we were kids, remember when Wagon Wheels really were wagon wheels and Mars lasted for ages!! Enjoy your bath.
Night all, will have a "virtual" (my word of the week) chat again soon.

idabdwi - you're not wrong about the monster munch, but ever since they made them small and took out all the flavour, I've lost all interest in them.
I usually stick to a big old bag of cheese and onion if the desire hits me!Chuffed to be member 11 on the DMP mutual support thread.

Hi all.
Back from work now and looks like its another one of those nostalgic evenings!!! Can I join in????
Dh and I bought some starburst yesterday and were boring the kids with tales of how they used to be 'opal fruits' and they were made to make the mouth water!!! Kids were like 'yeah reallllllllyyyyyy, who cares mum - just pass me another one!!!
Does anyone remember the 'fish and chips' crisp things. The packet was like a newspaper? I loved those, especially the ones at the bottom with the most flavouring on!!!!
Seems like most of us on here are of the same era??? I was born in 1972???
I remember childrens ward too!:j Proud to be No. 49 of the DMP Mutual Support Club:j

I remember those fish and chips crisps winkus! Yummy! And opal fruits (I still call them that).
Blimey - I'd forgotten about Children's Ward. I'm a bit younger, but still remember it. I used to watch a programme with my grandad with the theme tune "I am h.a.p.p.y., I am h.a.p.p.y., I know I am, I'm sure I am, I am h.a.p.p.y." Any ideas? Something Spirits I think? Getting a bit sentimental now, I never usually think of my grandparents (gone now).
I liked Poddington Peas, Knightmare (ALWAYS wanted to be on that!), Blockbusters, Raggy Dolls and lots lots more.
I loved the 80s. Reminds my of that song out just now "I've got love for you, if you were born in the 80s, the 80s" - that's me - it's nice to feel loved by someone, even if it is a random DJ!! :rotfl:
Hate to say it IDA, Sea & Joek but I'm still a MASSIVE fan of pickled onion Space Raiders and Monster Munch (although I agree about the bigger ones being better). No snogs for me on here then :kisses2: :kisses2: :kisses2: :kisses2:
Everyone is likely to be in the land of nod now and here I am mopping up raspberry smoothie from my teaching sheets for tomorrow. Oh dear!
Sweet dreams everyone :xmassign: (don't ask - I've always wanted to use that, but December seems to far away!!!)
