Yeah, they're not bad at all.
In fact, I'm not at all picky...I'd scoff the whole lot given half a chance!
I propose a very big tub of the things.
Maybe two, just to be on the safe side.Chuffed to be member 11 on the DMP mutual support thread.

Hi
As you all know I'm 42.5, female, 4 children, 1 husband (23.5 years married!!), mature student + about to go back to work part time!! I got into debt through my own stupidity and have nothing to show for it, no one knows but you lot and it suits me to be "in control alone"!! My story is told in a very very old thread, still on here somewhere. My fav word is "riddiculous"(?), favourite sweets haribo, favourite chocolate anything cadburys, favourite crisps ready salted! oh and I like the odd glass of cider but don't handle it too well anymore (must be an age thing - doh).
Who's next???
PS: forgot to mention I have 2 dogs (20 month old german shepherd and 5 month old border collie), a three legged cat and a rabbit!!I stopped smoking 25th June 2007STILL Never complacent but confidentMy debt is GOING DOWN!!!!0 -
Thanks smilealot, you never know you may get lucky as Joek says everyone gets there bit of good luck eventually. We certainly got ours when buying this house. We did it privately as we were already neighbours but if it had gone on the open market we would probably have been outbid by at least £30,000. Scottish house sales are offers over and in the last six years have generally gone at least 30-40% over. One house we put an offer on was offers over £35,000, we offered £44,000 it went for £77,000. So glad this one came up for sale.
At the moment we are all sleeping in the one bedroom but once we have finally finished converting upstairs - hopefully this summer - the kids will then have their own bedrooms and I'll have a small office area too. Unfortunately with us having no money it has taken 3 years so far.The person who moves a mountain begins by carrying small stones.

Wow Scottishmummy, I admire your determination. It will really feel like your own house once you've finished, your stamp on it to use a cliche. I know what you mean about the Scottish system, many of my friends have fallen fowl of it. Where roughly do you live?
You're right, I'll buy eventually - either in 20 years time or when I marry my millionnaire Mr Darcy... wonder which one will come first?! I'm not bothered about the identity thing, that I "should" be buying, it's more that I feel like I'm throwing my £350 rent down the drain every month. Nevermind, I'm lucky to have been given so many opportunities in my education/work life, so mustn't grumble.
Joek - maybe the DMP party could be a kiddie themed one - lots of old style sweets :TMember #4 of the DMP Mutual Support Club - DFW Nerd #335

Things have just got a little bit better here. I had texted a friend earlier to find out if she might have a skirt or trousers I could borrow for tomorrow and she has just rung me to say she has. So that involves a 3 mile detour on the way up the road but will save me having to buy something new.
As far as the Revels go I only like the chocolate button things so you can all have my coffee, toffee and orange ones and whatever else there is.
It's taken me about ten minutes to write this as the phone has rung 3 times - popular me:pThe person who moves a mountain begins by carrying small stones.

That's great news from your friend Scottishmummy. I live in the North East of England now, but used to live in the Central Region (Lanarkshire before that). Miss home a lot, especially the sexy men in kilts at ceilidhs with a gorgeous accent!Member #4 of the DMP Mutual Support Club - DFW Nerd #335

Oh yes men in kilts!!! My DH had to wear one at our wedding even though he isn't scottish. His dad was so still counts.
Must go and have an early night for a change. Don't think I've been in bed before 2.00am since finding this forum lol.
