Hi jakes-mum, great news about Lily's school choice! When you say you're concerned about her not being in the school's catchment area, do you mean you're worried about how she will get to and from school?? Check out the mileage and see how that works out via a google search, or ring the school secretary tomorrow and explain it. Our 2 were out of the catchment area once and we had to get them to and from school. You'll soon know one way or tother.
Ahh I see where ive confused youWe have 4 schools in our town, the one closest too us is her catchment school (school A) (as in the school the council have allocated to our address) the school we wanted is a different school on the other side of town (school
. We applied for school B as we didnt want her to attend School A but it was entirely up to the council which school she would get and as it was not her catchment school she was much lower on the list to be accepted than kids that live in the catchment or kids that have siblings already there.
But it seems our reasons for not sending her to School A were taken seriously and a place was offered at School B. What concerned us most was that shes always said she was going to school B so if she didnt get in how would we explain to her the reasons why, but we dont have to woory cos shes got her space :j:j

Ahhh..I'm with you now, jakes-mum, it all makes perfect sense. So, she really is one lucky little girl, you both fortunate parents too! Thanks for the explanation, though reading the 1st post back again I see it makes sense too! So, it was just me then!
Really pleased for you all.
