This is really not turning out to be a good month at all for me with my savings.
Had a 3 days off sick 2 weeks ago, and because I'm only a temp/contractor, I do not get paid if I do not work, so Mondays payday was very very low indeed.
Ended up having to raid the newly started savings account to pay the rent and had to undo the seal of my pot too.
Still, back to it this week - and today I emptied my pockets ad potted the grand sum of 48p.
But at least you had the savings to raid and you're right back into saving so you could count those as good things
I have to thank whoever mentioned wombling as I wombled my own asd@ receipts from the to-be-shredded pile and got vouchers totalling nearly £6 :T :T :T which I spent today and potted the equivalent :jThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. Thanks Sue-UU, I've just been the once since my induction and it was good, I'm trying very hard not to overdo things and don't want to tire myself out. I'm going tomorrow and I've got my weights induction on Wednesday so looking forward to that
We've spent the weekend cleaning and packing and moving our things home, the trouble with looking after a big house is you have more to clean and tidy when you leave! OH was really hung over yesterday because after his birthday (30) on Friday and woke up this morning with man flu so he's really enjoyed the cleanup!
Like a few people on here I'm really counting down the days until payday this month...I seem to say that every month!
I'm going to book an appointment with a mortgage adviser to find out what we could get and how much more we need to save, it feels very scary! We've just seen an amazing little house in an even more amazing location 5 mins walk to our favourite beach. The house is a complete wreck but unfortunately will prob go for higher than we can afford because of the location...sigh. I can't help but wish we had started saving sooner! Can anyone tell me what to expect from seeing a mortgage advisor? I really haven't got much of a clue about all this!

Good Morning
Had a NS weekend so no spare change BUT i cleared out my room and the kids room (i have 4 children) and i found 3.53 in change so i potted the lot lol my 3 boys have their own money boxes so if they help me round the house they get pocket money and my daughter is 17 weeks old so cant really do anything lol.
So thats another £3.53 in my pot. Age (my partner real name Adrian lol) is at work today but he had to pick me up some bread so when he gets home i shall be raiding his pockets again. NSD for me
