Thanks again for a supportive saving year My total this time is £65 with 7p left to start next years. Ok ok not a brilliant amount but that will pay my petrol to work for a week and a half :T I'm not here for the weekend but will see you on SPC6 asap xxx

I think that's a magnificent total - it's 18.5% of your income which is massive, well done you. :T

Have you tried babysitting - easy money for essentially sitting down watching someone else's telly all evening.

So FINALLY the pennies are counted, and I am thrilled to announce a total of £402.11! That will make for a fabulous Christmas in the Cazzie household!

After years of saving rather loosely for a house deposit, I've decided I really need to go for it next year if I have any hope of leaving home by the time I'm 30! (Just turned 27...!) So, I'm rather ambitiously going to set myself a target of £1000 to make a significant additional contribution to the house deposit fund next year! Aim high, right! Please sign me up to that target, Sue - and then everyone please make me pot like a madwoman from dawn til dusk! (Is it psychologically acceptable to go for walks round the neighbourhood purely to look for roadkill...!?)

Well done to EVERYONE on the amazing totals, be it 1 figure, or 2, or 3, or 4! Every little helps, and I hope you all get to enjoy the fruits of your potting! See you all tomorrow in the new residence, shiny empty pots at the ready! WHOO-HOO! xxxxx

You're welcome, elizabunny, it's a pleasure. One thing to keep in mind though is that it's been a pretty awful year financially. Seeing you always makes me think of the New Forest, home, what an aura you have!

For goodness sake don't start trawling the streets in the dark, it's far too risky...you'll probably trip over sparky!!! :rotfl: Seriously, it's not worth the risk. You can be lucky at times, but so many (tight [STRIKE]bu**ers[/STRIKE]) lovely folk use credit/debit cards; so if you see some - snap it up, but don't rely on it... and always keep a look out but be careful of posts!!:wall: All the best with that fund!

Sue, that is the weight you need for each set of coins to fill up with the amount it says on the bag. I'm sure you've had a very long few days not to spot that which makes what you are doing for us even more fantastic!

Ahhh, I'm pleased we've sorted that out, Ruth... I did wonder about the weight per bag bit, but it still came across strange so I had to ask. I never thought for a minute it was your Total as there was absolutely no emotion.

Anyway, you've been squirreling cash away in a BIG way, very well done indeed, Ruth!!!!!! :T You enjoy the rest at the German Market tomorrow, I'd love to go to one - some day.
