Ahhh, I'm pleased we've sorted that out, Ruth... I did wonder about the weight per bag bit, but it still came across strange so I had to ask. I never thought for a minute it was your Total as there was absolutely no emotion. :(

Anyway, you've been squirreling cash away in a BIG way, very well done indeed, Ruth!!!!!! :T You enjoy the rest at the German Market tomorrow, I'd love to go to one - some day.

Sadly it's not in Germany it's in Nottingham. And there are no real German people. Just English people dressed as 'stereotypical' Germans...... Not great but there's one woman who makes the best lime juice and amazing potatoes and I've found a new love for roasted chestnuts.!

Well that took some doing! Armed with a knife I have prised all of the coins from the terramundi, sorted them out and counted them out. My total is......

    £613.00

I am really pleased. I didn't have a specific target in mind as this was my first SPC and I had no idea how much I could save but my goal next year is to beat this years. I'm not sure what I'll spend the money on yet. Christmas is pretty much taken care of as I save monthly for it. I'm sure I'll think of something.

I also want to say a big thank you to Sue and Sparky who are both an inspiration and well done to everyone on their savings:T:T:T

See you on the new thread

Sadly, (or not or I would be jealous) I never thought it was in Germany. However, I'd also thought they were wonderful wherever they were so at least I don't feel as though I'm missing out on so much! Well, apart from the lime juice lady. I adore roasted chestnuts though!! I shall be yearning for them now. :D

Isn't that the worst part of saving, disgusting smell and feel.

For a first timer, Elle, you've done amazingly well!!!!! :T I'll bet you could scarcely believe it either :T Why not bank it for now or put it in the BS so it's not gone before you know it. Not that I'm telling you what to do - as if. ;) Enjoy saving next year too!

  • Counted up my pot last night and have £79.88. Think I'm going to have to spend it on one and a half new car tyres. I'd rather have something else but at least that means that I only have to find a little bit more for the rest of the 2nd tyre I need :) Thanks for the thread - without it I'd have no pennies in the pot!! Onto next year :D
No more buying books Books in 2016 = 20.
    Target for 2018 = 7/21
No more buying DVDs ? 2018 target 27/52

Moning blindtoast and so very well done with all you saved, it may need to go to something a little more mundane, but tyres are life-saving so your choice is a good'n!!!! :D :T Onward now with SPC 6 and hopes for something a bit more exciting to spend on next year. :grinheart

really should get off my backside and post on here a little more often but i do keep potting.

my member no 1323- grand total is £304.36

really pleased because its been a tough year. DH and i are yet to confirm what we will do with the cash but i think we will go to the local carvery with DD and my dad and take sis bro in law and two kids. £9.99 for mains and pud and fiver for kids. been a tough year for all so anice family treat and should be less than £100 for everything. cant wait to arrange it. cant make my mind up whether to put £50 on DS and partners electric card for heating etc over xmas or get them a supermarket gift card for their food shop??? they are just moving into their first home with a new baby due in the next fortnight and very little money.

well done to all some brilliant figures coming in. thanks to sue and co for all their hard work and dedication to the thread. and thanks for the reminder to count
