what two words in one/sayings irritate you?

My OH says ' I hear you hot and clear' (he means loud and clear but because I am rattily asking him to do something he says it that way)

I have a friend that says okylidokily (ok will suffice)

My OH dislikes the combined two words put together like

Staycation
Bromance
Romcom

Which ones bug you?

    Basically and literally

Both words are extremely over used, especially by teenagers I have noticed, unsure of the reason for that.

A bit different but people who describe a night out as 'messy'. That turns my stomach

..and sometimes people say 'literally' when they mean the opposite. "My chin, literally, hit the floor.." :rotfl:

I guess one that bugs me is when people say something's "challenging" or something's a challenge. Why not just say it's difficult??
