I've spent the afternoon doing a full list of my HG products. its already quite full so i figured from now on for something where i know i already have one or more HG there is just no point buying different things to try them out, i may as well use the money on what i know works and works well for me. i seem to be trying a myriad of cleansers and each one going "oh but its just not the liz earle!" when i could have just bought the liz earle and had done with it. same with moisturisers and shampoo too!

I just don't bother dabbling any more. I think I have quite an extensive list of HGs now. Will have to sit down and make a list like you have. I think you should put your list on here though for inspiration! x

I am off to the cinema to see Avengers Assemble tonight - after an exhausting week and a half at work, this is my first day off.

Ooh yes we are planning to see that but I want to see Salmon Fishing in the Yemen first.
well i realised yesterday that if i could only use the Liz Earle Cleanser Toner and Moisturiser with the Superskin oil bought when they do the buy all 3 and get something free offers for the rest of my life then my skin would be much happier. the clearest its been was when i first got the LE and used all 3 morning and night, and didn't bother changing and chopping "just in case" because what i was using was working. i was on Slimming World as well and all the healthy eating helped too and no matter how hard l'oreal try, they aren't going to be able to bottle that.

Keep an eye out for the LE TSV on 3 May. There are rumours that it will have the full sizes of the essentials in it. I'll probably get it if they do as Emma uses C&P and I've returned/am returning to using ISBT and Skin Repair respectively.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Oh Kaz, I am sorry, that's the second thread that's had bad news. Poor love and poor you. Hope you are able to enjoy some sort of celebration sometime soon. Meantime, swift healing to a brave girl.
    hugs from me too xx

Kaz what an awful shock for you! I hope you and your daughter are both on the mend, sounds as though she was very brave!

Willowbee Lovely to see you back :j Was a bit worried about you and missed your posts.

Yesterday saw me having a row with OH, we've been sniping at each other all weekend, although I'm not entirely sure why. Anyway, it erupted a little yesterday morning which cumulating in me buying the LIB CEW box as self compensation!! :D In fairness, I would have done anyway (but maybe with a bit more indecision first) as there's only Nails Inc I've tried out of all the brands and I know LE and Elemis particularly are HG for a lot of people so this seemed a great and cheap way of trying them out. I'm not going to count them as IN until they arrive those which will tip them into May's count.

A final UU for April - Boots Vitamin E face wipes, I love these, I think they're my HG of face wipes for sure. I try not to use them all the time and cleanse properly but they're always handy for fully removing eye makeup or for lazy nights just before I fall into bed. I've started using mega bargain Primark face wipes as their replacement and at the moment the old adage of getting what you pay for is holding true. They're the ones in the pink packaging and are very highly perfumed, as such they're a bit irritating on my skin and leave it a little pink. Have only used a couple of times so far so I'll have to keep an eye on that incase the problem escalates. I know they do a gentle option in white packaging, maybe I should try those instead. I'm in Chester today so may pop and get some. May have more April IN as yet!! :o

Enjoy your day ladies and the much improved weather if here is anything to go on x

i hope DD feels better soon, Kaz! DH broke his arm very badly when he was a child, he's got a really awesome looking scar where he had to have plates put in, he hates having to answer "ooohh how did you do that?!" with "eerrrm, i *may* have fallen off a swing."

i think I'm going to have to avoid the offers for now :( I've got 2 unopened LE moisturisers, 2 unopened Elemis ones and an unopened bobbi brown one in the stash along with an unopened IBST. the only thing i might need is the cleanser but i won a 100ml C&P off the sunday times the other day for voting in their beauty awards so hopefully when that gets here and with the travel sizes I've also got, I'm set until at least the end of summer! I'm going to try and hold off or just repurchase the cleanser until they do the offer of buy all 3 and get the superskin oil free. its always the best value and the oil is expensive full price. either that or i'll throw a liz earle party :rotfl: when they start up its worth hosting one, they give the host a free full size set of C&P, IBST and choice of moisturiser and every attendee gets a 30ml C&P.

Hugs to Kaz and your DD

Willowbee good to see you back again.

Hoping for some more UU to night, and it looks like I may have more ins to declare later depending on the postman as I ordered the first Lux box, have already canceled my subscription as a) only wanted to see what the first box was like and b) need to cut down on ins. Seen a spolier on line and not sure I'm that happy with it.
  • Hugs to Kaz and DD. Sounds painful!

Going to see if I can make May a no-INs month - probably not but it's worth a try!

Oh guys, just after my last post (Friday 11.40) I had a phone call from DD's school. Fallen and hurt herself ambulance on it's way. We have spent the whole time since then at Bristol children's hospital (fantastic place) and she had an op on her very badly broken arm done yesterday. She's home and safe now after a hideous time with masses of morphine. Feel sick every time I think of her arm. I'm so proud of her, she was so very, very brave.
Needless to say, my birthday didn't happen. Never mind, I get to be 33 for another year :D

Hugs to you and your daughter Kaz. This sounded so painful. Hoping you get to celebrate your birthday once your daughter is on the mend. ( I would still be sticking at 33 too :rotfl::rotfl:) *whispers Happy Birthday!

My plans last night went up in the air as my cinema going friend got to my flat then had to leave with a work emergancy and could get back round....so never made it to see Avengers Assemble. We are attempting this again this evening, so fingers crossed.

I have 2 freebie INS - fragrances Thierrry Mugler's Womanity and Flora by Gucci.

Don't think I will finish any of my splutters tonight so I am declaring my totals for April.

19 UUs and 7 INs costing £15 - most of which were freebies.

Quite pleased with this month, not only sticking within my budget but getting through a few older products too. :D
