Whoops, just bought the LIB Editors Box, plus one luxary sample, will list as ins when they arrive.
wish you had not told me about that:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:just had a look and managed to resist as don't need any of the items no matter how much a bargain they are......trying hard not to become addicted to boxes, just wish the one I have ordered would arrive:(....SSB were supposed to get back to me in 24 hours, only half an hour left for them so not holding my breath:(

Rosemary - I really hope that your SSB box arrives today! I can't believe that you're still waiting for it :(

I took a quick look at the editors box as well and am trying to resist it (for now :rotfl:)

If it helps, I'm still using my NYR Power Berry moisturiser quite happily! It doesn't smell of berrys, even when new, so don't panic if it doesn't smell how you thought it might. It actually has quite a minty scent, which is weird. I didn't like it at first but once I'd used it for a few days I found that my skin really liked it :) It is quite thin and takes a while to sink it but it has hyaluronic acid in which is very moisturising. I'm trying to use up a whole load of Neal's Yard stuff as they are the only products I have with a best before date on them. Most of my stuff has expired but so far I've not had to TA anything. I love their products so would be v miffed with myself if I have to throw anything away.

    Hi Itzybitzy

I must admit that I was a little disappointed with the box. I'm pretty sure I've looked at this argan oil before when there was a Groupon offer. Also, I already have a bottle of argan oil and it was no more than £8 and that was for 100ml, albeit not in a fancy pump dispenser.

I agree with you about the Jurlique Herbal Recovery Gel though - that is something that I've wanted to try for ages so I was very pleased to see a sachet of that. :)

The box just seemed a bit empty though. I tried Amarya once before and concluded it wasn't for me (it was their second box). If you don't like the main product then there isn't much joy in it! (That time I received a tinted moisturiser that was too dark for my skin). I re-subbed as it seemed they had got better at balancing the box i.e. putting enough extra bits in that if you didn't like the main product then you still had other bits and bobs to be excited about.

Ah well. The argan oil will get used although it says that it's best used within 6 months of opening! Not long

Have you tried argan oil before?

I have not, which is why i quite liked it :) See, not much less than £10 :P

The Shampoo smells like toffee :D

    It's useful stuff :)

I have used it on the ends of damp hair. (It won't feel like Moroccanoil though as that is stuffed with silicones and other fillers.)

I've also used it as a night time moisturiser. I bought bottles of rosehip, argan and jojoba at the same time so used a mixture of them and no other moisturiser. In the end I found that my skin liked the rosehip oil best. The argan is quite heavy in comparison.

Do let me know how you use it and what you think :)

(I wasn't disappointed in the value of the box, it was more that the ones from the last few months have looked really exciting! Also, I think that the huge success of Moroccanoil (the hair serum) has meant people cashing in and selling pure argan oil at inflated prices, which is how I feel about this company. I bought my oil before all the hoo-ha about Moroccanoil serum and that's why it was £8 for 100ml rather than the £21 for 50ml that this company is charging!)

    Edited to add:

    This is interesting:

    http://www.aromantic.co.uk/argan-oil.htm

£5.60 for 50ml. Theirs has a shelf life of two years, which is what I thought I remembered when I bought mine (from a different seller). It's also edible. I'm a bit freaked out by the fact that the 'pure' argan oil we've received isn't edible and only has a shelf life of 6 months. It isn't a sealed bottle - it's just a twist off lid with a pump. It's not good for it to be in a clear bottle either (it degrades faster), so either keep yours in the box or in the dark. (I'm not cross with Amarya, I'm just skeptical about this particular 'brand' of argan oil).

I hope that isn't too much information!

Ugh. My liner dried up as well, pretty much with a week of me first trying it. A rare fail for Boudoir Prive.

I was looking forward to trying the Blink and Go mascara but that doesn't sound very promising

it was awful getting it off too! i had a proper waterproof makeup remover and it came off in fibers! did you ever use those mascaras that came out a while back that had a white end to use first and then a black one that supposedly added on a coat around the whole lash and could only be removed in one go by holding water on your eye for yonks? it was like those! awful, awful stuff.

Blimey! Thanks for the warning. I'll approach it with care, if I decide to give it a go (I have lots of unopened GWP mascaras to work my way through :rotfl:) Is it a tubing mascara then? I've never tried one of those. I'd be freaked out if I couldn't get it off my eyelashes easily!! :rotfl:

it doesn't say that it is but came off like one. thats prob why it was given away free in GB, i'd be returning it if i'd paid a tenner for it! i didn't like them though, i had a l'oreal one that i had to sit there with a soaked cotton pad with water dripping down my face for like 5 mins before it would even think about budging! this one came off after going at with waterproof make up remover, a cleanser and a soaked muslin cloth.

Goodness! I have gas permeable contact lenses so I'm always very gentle/careful when I remove eye make up. I don't even use waterproof mascara as it can be tricky to remove. Such a useful review. Thank you :A

I'm glad that you're excited about the argan oil. It's interesting to read about all the things it can be used for :) (I'd google it rather than read the Simply Argan site). I think it will divide people a bit but that's the nature of beauty boxes. (I was hoping for something more like the Neom candle, the REN set or even something by Dr Haushka. ;) They've had some brilliant boxes...)

Is it ok to link to a competition? It's to win £500 of Feel Unique vouchers! That would mean weeks on the naughty step, but £500?? :D
