I'm in again for April aiming for only ins to be my Amarya beauty box, but shopping with nieces tomorrow which never goes well on the not buying front. The good side is I should have a few give aways tomorrow so that should make up of any potential purchases. March was a complete fail I'm afraid loads more ins than outs.

I forgot to say that when I bought Boots essentials eye makeup remover in March they had the 3 for 2 offer on so I bought 2 eye makeup removers which should last for the whole of 2012. I then thought to myself lets try their eye gel. The eye gel has turned out to be brilliant as well particularly for the price of £1.52.
No toiletries challenge, started 18/1/2010 - Putting £1 in my savings jar for every item that I use up. Pot 1 to 4 = £261. Pot 5=£23
    Boots points:£39.21. Extra money in 2012:£674.59. In 2013 £603.48. 2014: £85. 2015: £0 :j
  • didn't johnson and johnson used to do one? i used one a few years back because i was ghostly pale and wanted a bit of colour and i remember whichever one i used was really good and not overly dark or fake looking.

Becky2 - I have used the Johnson & Johnson one for pale skin. I have also used the Bare Minerals faux tan (liquid) mixed in with my normal body lotion which works really well for me. It also smells of marzipan which I loved.
The other one I have used which I would highly recommend is a Virgin Vie one Summertime skin - gave my legs (which are normally verging on a pale blue colour they are so pale and pasty) a reasonably healthy glow. They do still do it:

and they have free p&p at the moment if you spend over £15. HTH

I'm in for April, hopefully they'll be no more 'to good to miss offers' so I won't be tempted! :D

ok,nothing to do with toiletries but just made the most divine choc mousse.
    70g dark choc(I used 70% one0
6 tbsp Baileys(guess any other liquer would do)
    25g butter
    3 eggs seperated
    3 tbsp caster sugar

melt the choc and baileys in a bowl over simmering water with the base of the bowl NOT touching the water

remove from heat and add butter

leave to cool then add egg yolks one at a time

whisk whites and add sugar and whisk

add a quarter of the whites to the choc mix then fold in the rest

spoon into 4 dishes and chill

p.s if you really want to know I can tell you the calorie content:rotfl:

pps I did reduce the sugar by 1 spoonfull and did not garnish with whipped cream and choc curls as suggested in recipe.

ppps this is for supper tonight with friends along with chicken tagine........well I have been good with my diet for 3 weeks and lost 5 lbs so deserve a treat:)

    I'm in again

    In March I u/u

Wa*t+ose Baby bottom balm. Do you remember all the hype about that a few years ago? A lot of Mum's swore that it helped their wrinkles. It kept selling out as soon as it hit the shelves and they put a limit of, I think 4 pots per customer. Well true to form I bought a mountain of the stuff. I think it was under £3 per pot if I remember correctly and it's nice but I never did use it on my face as the texture was too heavy for me. Mostly used it on my feet! Which is why its taken me so long to use up
WNBA because I am so bored of it now.

L'occi''ane Immortelle spray oil. This lasted 4 years. I did use it intermittently but even so I am so glad to see the back of it.
WNBA though nothing wrong with it except, you guessed it, bored of it.

HG lip balm. I have tried so many different ones. Nivea honey one is definitely the best and cheapest I have ever found. It's quite hard to find in the shops though.

Hope everyone else is doing well on the Use ups.

Also I meant to say what I have started doing is using eye serums on my neck and decollete. I have about 20 eye serums and I will never get to use them before the 24 month expiry. I have been using two Aromatherapy Associates Rose and Frankincense eye serums and they really are brilliant. But they also seem to be lasting forever.

I really need to learn this lesson of not bulk buying stuff that I know I will get bored with as that seems to be my problem.:(
  • I am in again this month. I am hoping to UU the Percy & reed shampoo and conditioner sooner rather than later as I don't like the shampoo but the conditioner is ok.

I am aiming for no Ins this month but this depends on any temptation that may come along :-)

    Rosemary that mousse sounds lovely!

    Toiletry spend £34.95 In: 10 out:13
