I'm back in for April. Away to catch up with the pages. Hope everyone is making the most of the last day of sun, rain is forecats tomorrow. :(

Just did a stash survey and had to share that I am giddy with delight at having whittled it down to reasonable proportions!

(we don't mention make up. Even I'm not brave enough to go there).

I'm down to 4 shower gels in the stockroom and only 2 conditioners. Biggest stash remains fake tan but I'm getting there. Also seem to have loads of foot stuff but I never get around to using it. I should because the poor things don't half get a hammering in my heels! Do other people put this stuff on at night before bed? Really want to work it into a routine.

OUT just went an ancient juicy tube and a tube of toothpaste of questionable vintage (used to be in my 'get spruced up after work on a Friday night' kit from when I still worked in a place where people went out on Friday nights.......3 years ago). Also used up a sachet of Christy pink grapefruit foot scrub this morning. Can't bear to think how long ago I bought it......think it was from Home Bargains, my Achilles heel shop!

I reprieved a can of Patsy Palmer's fake tan spray (called "it.......is" for some reason). It was discontinued some time ago but I got this a couple of years back in TK Maxx for £2.99......was reduced from £12 so felt I should give it another go despite less than stellar performance on previous tries.

Found some great stuff I forgot I had actually, mostly stuff you can only use in summer (e.g. benefit 'take a picture, it lasts longer' leg gloss). Hurrah!

    Have a nice day all.

Me! I tend to throw some moisturiser on (and perferably a pair of bed socks as well) before going to bed: it really makes a difference! Given that we are fast approaching (or may have passed) sandal weather, it's nice to think that we wouldn't have any cracked heels on display, isn't it?! ;)

    I have a couple of IN's to report -

    Aveeno Moisturising Creamy Oil
    Aussie Miracle Leave in Conditioner

neither of which I had in the stash already so they are replacements really. I've never tried the Aveeno before but it smells amazing and absorbs really quickly and has left my arm feeling so soft! (well in the patch I've tested it on!)

My attitude to make up has totally changed too. I was going to buy some black gel eyeliner because I'd seen someone do a very neutral interview appropriate look with it. But after looking in the stash I found a Stila bronze one which actually I like better than if I had a harsh black liner on. So I've saved myself some money and rescued something from my stash!

Good afternoon ladies i joined the challenge early last year and then tesco dtd came along and everything went to pot so i quit.

Ahhh, the lovely day's of Tesco DTD :D how I loved them. My toiletry stash increased hugely after this but I haven't used anyting, put it away in a dark cupboard and continued with the other stuff I had to use first.
Slowly getting there but it is a slow process!:A

Jacks - it sounds like you've had a real break through regarding your make up! *Claps* How pleasing to be about to hit pan on something :-)

:wave:Thanks my lovely. :D I'm a minimalist at heart - but I love make up, and options, and having the perfect thing right here on hand whether I'm making up my own face or someone else's.

I've been having a sort out this afternoon and my list of make up essentials is surprisingly tiny considering the size of my whole collection. Everything I've got is good, there's no rubbish or things I don't like that I'm forcing myself to use - I just don't need so many similar things.

Bobbi Brown don't help. They do a whole bunch of eyeshadows which are almost the same colour!

Since it's taken me 8 years to hit pan on one that's 1/4 full size I probably don't need another couple of dozen which appear virtually identical to any normal human!:o

  • Hello everyone - i feel like I totally failed March's challenge with only 27 outs, I hope that April will be a better month for me. I have also been awful at keeping up to date with the previous thread and engaging in convo. Can I use the excuse that my 2 jobs are kicking my a$$? well that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it :) I do miss coming on here daily and reading everyone's convo. So I will definitely be more active.

To my secret easter egg person - your package is going out tomorrow during my lunch break - I PROMISE!!! For those who do not receive a package from their buddy by next tuesday, please contact me and I will follow up with your buddy. it could be as simple as the post taking longer than usual, but you won't be left high and dry without a package :)

So I am definitely in for April. March was a bad month for me. I got two packages from dear friends from the states and both packages had tons of products in it. I was completely spoiled, but that just blew up my stash so much. Totally went backwards. So now I don't even know what it is that I have and don't have in my stash. I have to do another tally. yikes!!!!

I have two much needed IN's to declar:
Benefit facial emulsion and facial wash - as my face wash and moisturizer is spluttering. Even the ones that my lovely secret easter person sent me :)

My stash of unwanted products continues to grow as well.

ok so enough yacking and off to do another inventory.

    GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!!!

    In as normal..

I wonder if I will be able to resist freebies this month? Yes, I know it's a self inflicted injury, but I would have cracked the shampoo and conditioner thing by now if it wasn't for the free Pantene that I got.

And now the free L'Oreal Hair Expertise Everpure.
I'm going to re-home the Pantene for coloured hair and probably the one for fine hair too. It will just sit there now there is plenty of much better stuff in.

I used the Everpure this morning and it's excellent. The shampoo is quite runny compared with L'Oreal's Elvive, for example. I don't think I've ever used an SLS free shampoo before but performance was great with a lovely herbal smell.
The conditioner dispensed in a very thin, very white ribbon, which made for economical use. Again a light, pleasant herbal smell.

My hair is wonderfully soft and shiny. Even better than with Elvive. Here's hoping it looks OK tomorrow and does well long - term.
