You should of taken it back to the shop, I cant stand people who buy stuff from chairty shops just to sell on ebay, its shocking.

Er, the shop gets the money and makes room for more stock? Thats the point of a charity shop...
  • Touchy subject maybe but I was wondering what's the most anyone has made from buying an item at a charity shop and selling it on Ebay?

£900. I bought a Mego Zorro Action figure, with his box for £12, seeing a profit of about £20 in it. What I didnt realise was this was considered the "Holy Grail" of Mego toys and incredibly rare.

I had a feeling something was amiss when I started getting $100 offers after an hour. I let it run and he made £900. He went to a museum in New York :)

Can't believe people are complaining about buying from charity shops and selling on.
As i stated I bought the cardi for my sister but I also look for things to sell, although it is once in a blue moon that I find anything that will profit ....in my eyes I am giving to charity. A lot of charity shops only keep their stock for a couple of months then they reduce it and if not sold it just goes to recycling.
    I also donate things too.

Another good selling item was a tankini I bought new from a shop for £3.50 and I sold it for £28. I rushed back to the shop and bought another 10 which all sold for over £20 and up to £45.
