Is it worth me going to citizens advice before filling the forms in or just doing it asap?0

They are not that complicated, you should be able to do it yourself, If I can anyone can, Just make sure you include any wages owed, redundancy due, holiday pay, get it in as soon as you can, In my case they didn't even start looking at them until everyone in the company had sent theirs in.0 -

The form is easy enough, its more to do with the additional notes which have come from the administrator and say that wages owed and holiday columns are to be left blank as the holiday year ended on 31st March 2012.
Now my argument is that if we had notice, considering I found out last Monday, then we would be in the new holiday year. So therefore should I just stick down that I am owed my quota of holidays or leave it blank?0 -

hi, we have found ourselves in the same position. my partner was a store manager for a gamestation store which was closed. hes absolutely devastated as he loved his job so much and had worked for the company for just short of 8 years. We've filled in the RP1 today and he has an appointment to sign on this week. we have been told you must sign on to recieve the payment in lieu of notice.0

I think you still get it whether you sign on or not but the £67 a week JSA will be taken of whether you actually sign on or not.0 -
The other question is, can I become eligible for any help with the mortgage or will I need to use my JSA to pay for that?0

I was made redundant last night by the Adminstrators for a company called DBC Foodservice who went into adminstration on Tuesday. Our union rep told us that we would be entitled to notice payment (1 week for every year worked to max of 12 weeks) Sta redundancy payment and also depending on the number of employe's affected we would be able to claim upto 90 days pay in leiu of consultation period(think this depends on the amount of people affected).
This was also confirmed by the administrator this morning.
Hi Mick
I hope you are doing well and have managed to find some alternative employment.
I am still working at DBC (for the administrators) but not for long I suspect. Did you find out if you can claim the 90 days pay in leui of consultation ? The administrators have not mentioned this to us, and I haven't heard it from anyone else.
If you think you can claim it, would it be from the administrators, or from the government ?0 -

Unfortunatley still not working. The 90 days notice is the hand of the union now, fingers crossed. i believe the dpot i worked at was the only one with recognised union membership so if you or anybody need any info or questions i will contact them and get back to you.
Are you getting paid ok by the administrators and have you not been given any indication when you are likly to be finishing.
Good luck for the future0
