Just to warn you that they are now running behind schedule at the moment. My claim has been with them for just over 10 weeks and it's not been sorted yet. Apparently it's on a pile for "Quality Checking". This is basically somebody doing a second check on the claim.
I gave the FOS a call and from what they said, Tesco should have sent out a letter at 8 weeks saying that their 8 weeks were up and that I could either give them more time or take it to the FOS. I'm giving them till Easter before I get the FOS involved.0 -
Thanks for the warning Ignite hope you get yours sorted soon fingers crossed for you0

I hope it gets sorted soon as well. By my rough guess, I'm due a payout of about £6000!0

Yep, both of them (2003 and 2007). An extra loan was there to cover the single premium for PPI. In fact the loan finished this month and the loan statement was headed with loan and ppi statement (or words to that effect) and there was only a single monthly figure shown. If it wasn't front loaded, it would have shown 2 figures (1 for the loan and 1 for the PPI).0

Tescos certainly seemed to like there front loaded ppis sounds the same as mine, there was another loan on the policy to cover the single premium ppi and is actually worded on the documents as insurance loan, so a loan on a loan but a single monthly payment...fingers crossed for us all with Tescos keep me posted on your progress won't you

Rang Tesco's for an update today and was told a case handler was looking into the claim and it would take another 3 weeks, which will take it over the 8 weeks.0

Well, I'm into week 14 and still no closer to getting a response. Still being told it's with quality checking. However last week I was told that if it's with quality checking I'm probably due a payout and this is why they are checking it. I'm in the process of sending my paperwork to the FOS though as this is taking the .......0
