I had this email saying i have passed all my stages on 10th of December for wolves.
  • I got the same email on 8/12/2016, strange! I sent a email as soon as I saw your post saying you start on the 9th but got no response yet, however not been sent any the emails the others have
  • Good luck anyone taking their manual assessment at JLR Solihull today. I enjoyed it
  • Hi, I have my manual assessment coming up. I was wondering if anyone could shine any light on what it would involve so I know what to expect? Thanks
  • OK there will be a group of 6 doing the test at the same time. The examiner will talk through while another examiner does the test for you to watch. 1st you'll take a brake servo to the body of the car/range rover. Support it with a block/jig hooking the jig onto the car for support. Red tape shows you where to hook it. Then walk to the table and pick up the 4 nuts along with the extention bar and brake pedal. The pedal fits inside the car and the nuts are applied finger tight to begin from top right clockwise. When finger tight back to bench to get ratchet. Don't be tempted to carry everything because the want you to follow instructions. Tighten in same order then take tools and jig back to bench. Pick up cushion and 3 magnets. Mine were red green blue. Cushion goes in back of car entering vehicle drivers side (left hand vehicle) you sit facing rear of car and magnets attach in certain order. It shows you in car where to put them. After that you click 2 wiring sockets together and double check they click in. After that exit car same way and walk round and get in car other side remembering to take the cushion with you and sit on it again and remove magnets in reverse order. Take cushion out and back to the bench. Finished. They will give you a hat to wear in case you bang your head. Remember to put it on. If you get stuck the instructions are on the bench for you to keep looking at. You get 1 min to read them in the beginning then 8 to do the test. Try and stay calm and you'll be fine. Best of luck
  • Just wondering if anyone that has been given a start date has been told they have to attend a 'top up interview'? If so, what does it entail?

Hi all. I took my manual assessment at Solihull Friday and received an email late Monday night to say I'd passed. Any idea how long I'll wait now for further news
  • I called them about a week after to get an interview date. Probably best to do that if you don't hear off them.

Did my interview in December, and did pre employment assessment in January, and still waiting for a wolves place, just keep saying it's been on hold...very frustrating
