Hi everyone, not sure if I'm posting in the right place or if I should make another thread about this. My partner acquired his forklift truck licence a few months ago and has recently applied to DHL at Solihull Land Rover via Staff Line. He had an interview/meeting type thing last Friday and has a 'manual assessment' next Monday. Just wondering if anyone here works for DHL at Land Rover and what your experiences are of the recruitment process are and the actual job? If he gets the job it would only be a 12 week contract to start with but he asked on Friday and they basically said he will likely be kept on past that provided he does the job well. We have a house and 2 kids so it's a bit of a risk but he's desperate to move on from his current work place.0

Hi all,
Just an update which I think many may find useful.
My husband was informed in November that he had passed all stages and would be given a date in the new year. (Solihull or Castle vale branches).
Today, he has called Manpower for an update - it's like being in limbo, does he or doesn't he have a job there!?
They have said that they are still waiting for start dates to be provided for the Solihull branch. The wait is likely to be 3-6 months. He's been told that there is a job for him - like anyone else who has had an email passing all stages - but need to be prepared for a bit of a wait.
My hubby was hoping to start sooner, but at least we have an idea of how long to wait... and that there is a job for him!0
