Isn't this just for solihull plant? A friend that works there told me how they are only running two shifts at the moment. I got accepted for the wolvo plant.

Sorry, FA = Final Assembly, where all the bits are put on the cars.

Yes at Solihull, FA2 are on days and nights now and going to 3 shifts end of Feb so they need another complete shift.

Some of these will come from existing employees being moved from areas that are de-manning due to model chnages etc.

Don't know numbers but assume they will need some new heads, hence the recruitment process.

Don't know what's happening at the engine plant.

jlr i54 engine plant
as i understand it, the diesel plant is up & running.
manpower are know recruiting for the petrol plant, no one will get a start date for this till jlr give manpower the go ahead to recruit. this will probably be in the new year. ive been told there will be back to back start dates in jan, onwords.
jlr are going to need hundreds of staff to start the petrol plant up.
you just need to be patient.:)

What is the wages like at the starting rate? And is there overtime oporutunies?

hi all i just been given start date for EMC wolverhampton start at 11 january so i think some people will get phone call soon
