  • No, it's quite an important part of the assessment. They are very big on promoting Process Improvement.

The Pera training (which should follow through to the shop floor) is all about Lean Manufacturing, things like, kaizen, 5s, poka yoke, 7 wastes, CIP, PDCA etc

Which is all !!!!!!!! I must add. When you get onto the shop floor it is all about quantity believe me.
  • Which is why I said "should".

Whether or not it does is irrelevant to the recruitment process.

If having a bit of knowledge about it gets you the job, even if you never draw on that knowledge again, then it is worth it.
  • Sorry, I missed the 'should' part. I guess you work there too then by sticking the 'should' bit in.

So, my bro just failed the manual. I thought it was 6 months, is it now 3?

with the five questions at the end was that part of the assessment? I thought it was just for feedback.

I was told by someone in the know that they are important & each correct answer is worth 5 points
  • Got my start date at Solihull Tuesday,

Just wondering what the hourly pay is?

Like how much for mornings, afternoons and nights?

    Thanks.
  • Does anyone know how long this process is supposed to take? Had the assement on Monday evening as far as I'm aware I didn't fail (done the process in order and completed it with time to spare), but I only answered 2 of the questions - haven't heard anything since, no email or phone call

    I'm applying for Solihull

    I start Tuesday too :)
From what I've read it's £10.76 basic pay so this is what you'll get during ur pera training. if you get put on the 3 shifts it's £13.25ph

You should be fine then. I heard back the next day but it all depends how many they have to process I guess.
