Only drug screening. . Don't worry about that
For guys who asked for how it is and if you need safety shoes. .. i bet person who answered work in Halewood. .. In Solihull it's different.
You have to bring your own safety shoes on your first day of pera training and wear them for whole year even if you are in area where they are not needed.. as you are manpower and they can move you to different area whenever they need it.
Pera training is nice and easy... little irritating on qwizdoms but you all can handle it. After two weeks on your last day group leaders will come to pick you up and show you yours areas of work.
If you will be lucky manpower will ask you first if you would like to go on any specific area or shift but in general you all have to be flexible.
You all will be fine.
Welcome on board.
9 weeks for me gone... only 9 months and 3 weeks left till the contract0 -
Hi
I heard over a 100 people are starting at Solihull tomorrow, so how many groups do you think we will divided into for the pera training? And is it all classroom based?
Many thanks0 -

And its all classroom based. There is some manual exercise but it's also in the same groups0

Hi,
Anyone else got a start date for 30th September at Solihull plant, if so have you received your confirmation email yet?
Thanks in advance0 -
Hi
Just thought with the information I have been given on here that it would be nice to share my experiences.
I originally had to decline a offer due to the birth date of my child in August. Since then I chased manpower a few times for another date as they said they would sort this for me. I have since been offered the 9th Sept. I have received my confirmation email which includes info on parking at Birmingham Airport and safety boots. (I have got a pair on the net for £20). The email confirms training address , times and basic information. You will need to print this off to bring with you on day 1.
I was also booked on a short induction for today. This is basically an admin process, filling in previous medical history forms, trying uniform on for sizes, hearing test and registering for pera training which includes short English and maths test (if you at this stage it should be easy).
The next stage for me is to Strat the training. I hope to post after the pera training and then a few weeks after this to give information which might help.
Thanks to those who have previously posted with information as this has been very useful.
