  • Hey guys,

congrats to all of you receiving your start date, i'm happy to see many of you being succesfull! I have the interview next week and i'm a bit worried because I don't know what to expect.

I wanted to ask about the last 2 years employment, how does it have to be, is there any form or just written on a file? Also, the proof of adress, all of you had a bank statement or utility bill? I don't have any of these 2, a payslip of my current job would do the trick? I changed the address on my bank but I didn't received any letter from them.

Thanks and good luck to the rest of you having the interview/waiting for response!

Hi. Don't worry you will be fine. You will have to fill the application where they are asking for your emolument history so you just need to know it or you can write it down for yourself. About proof of address you can visit your bank and say you need the proof of address and they will print you mini statement with your address on it.
    Good luck!
  • Thanks alot Hannah!

Hi, I am also starting that day!:D

Never recieved an e-mail though with the joining details start/whats required to take etc?
Do we need steel toe capped shoes or are these supplied?
  • The first day is spent filling out forms and providing personal details, you will have a presentation by the Site \ Operations manager and a chat with the Trade Union guys, followed by a trip to the uniform stores for your issue, usually 5 t-shirts, a couple of pairs of trousers and a jacket. Then safety shoes if you need them dependant on where you are working, along with overalls for those going into paint.
You will be advised on the day what shift you are assigned to and then you will join that shift the next day, so you could be on lates or nights or days on the following day, you will receive training relevant to your work area and generally they will buddy you up until you find your feet.
I have found everyone really helpful and I really enjoy working at JLR, wage slips are online on a Tuesday night with the money being in your bank on Friday each week. Hope you enjoy your new job...
