Finally after 9 long weeks had a phone call this morning and got told i am starting this monday in the body shop at halewood. But could be finished after 8 weeks but unlikely to happen got me a bit worried tho but ill just go for it and hopefully get kept on. Good luck to everyone waiting on start dates.
You may of misheard there is a plant shutdown from the 6th to the 10th of October. That would fit in with the 8 weeks. The shortest contract I have heard of is a 3 month contract.0 -
Hi got the call today I'm also starting 2nd Sept. Does that mean everyone on this date will likely start in same section?0

Yes definitely got told an 8 week assignment but he did say its unlikely i would get laid off but would i be ok to go back to my old job if i had too. He said if it does happen there will be lots more jobs coming up with the launch of the new car so i would probably get moved to another part of the plant.0 -

Test tooling has finished for the L550 and they are starting pre production after the shutdown. That usually lasts around 8 weeks so it sounds as if they are bringing you in for PP.0 -
