You may of misheard there is a plant shutdown from the 6th to the 10th of October. That would fit in with the 8 weeks. The shortest contract I have heard of is a 3 month contract.

Hi got the call today I'm also starting 2nd Sept. Does that mean everyone on this date will likely start in same section?

Yes definitely got told an 8 week assignment but he did say its unlikely i would get laid off but would i be ok to go back to my old job if i had too. He said if it does happen there will be lots more jobs coming up with the launch of the new car so i would probably get moved to another part of the plant.

It was for Solihull and I interviewed the 23rd July.

Test tooling has finished for the L550 and they are starting pre production after the shutdown. That usually lasts around 8 weeks so it sounds as if they are bringing you in for PP.

As Manpower said there will lots of different jobs because of the launch of the L550.

I was told i would receive it either yesterday or on Monday. Hope it does come Monday now as I've handed my notice it. Worried I may have jumped the gun now after the phone call!!!
