Can some please tell me what happens if an unspent conviction shows up. Even if it was over five years ago. Need to no so I can put my mind at rest!!!!!
it would probably depend on the offence i would think but only manpower can tell you for sure, most minor offences are spent after 5 years0 -
I'm pretty sure it brings up all unspent convictions. and it's something they're pretty strict about. they will lay you off if the crb comes back with something you haven't declared. but like someone said convictions are generally spent after 5 years. are you sure it isn't spent.
best thing to is just speak them (in person if u can) and just be just be Honest and explain your situation.
I was in a similar predicament but luckily one of the manpower managers gave me a start date after I told her my circumstances, otherwise I wouldn't have got the jobCan some please tell me what happens if an unspent conviction shows up. Hi guys i passed my online assessment at jaguar landrover .On 13 august 2014 i had my assessment at castle vale skills centre i made a mistake but thought to myself do i carry on and complete or do i rectify it first so i went for the 2nd option and rectified it even though i knew i wouldnt be able to complete it. I know people who had completed the assessment and still failed so i thought they may just assess me on what i did ,i arent sure if an automatic fail is given for assessment not completed can anyone help me out on that one?Has anyone from that group had a reply ?0

Hi Platoon you have to assemble an screw on an oil sump in a particular orer which i did but forgot to connect the brake to it on the other side so i had to unscrew all nuts and connect brake then move on . i lost a lot of time but did it all in the correct order and exactly the same as the demo but i ran out of time to complete it0

Got my start date today... have my induction a week on wed. What do people wear for this and do I need to buy toe tector boots for it or not?
Also is there an assembly point for the shuttle bus at the airport?0 -

Wear some trackie bottoms and a plain t shirt if I'm honest mate and you will need steel toe caps.
There isn't a general assembly point thee busses run from the left as you drive in, you will have to get off at reception aswell and will need proof of your induction or else you WONT get on it.0 -
Cheers for that mate. Hopefully that would be outlined in the email however they said I would get the email in about a week. My induction is in a week and a day so thought it best to check!0

To all who are applying for JLR word of advice if you not used to this kind of work you will find it very difficult and very tiring, not in the sense that the work is hard it's just constant. It's my second week and I'm struggling some people who started with me have already left hence why the money is good but you have to graft hard. I've been driving buses for the last 11 years and this kind if work I'm finding very hard to maintain, hopefully it will come to me and be a lot easier, have others struggled when they started and how you coping now.0
