  • Hello everyone, I am having my assessment on Monday and I am hoping to pass it and to move on. I have done similar process which took 4 stages with Toyota 18 Months ago and although I was given conditional job offer ( They will take me on as soon as Toyota starts hiring again), I am still waiting 18 Months on to start and that's why I applied for Jaguar who are taking people on now rather than putting them on a list and making them wait for Months or even Years. Question for those who work through manpower. Have any of you been offered a car privilege scheme where you could lease an ex management car from Jaguar? Blue arrow who supplies staff for Toyota offers that for new employees and I am not sure if manpower does the similar as it would be useful for me due to sheer mileage I will be putting on provided I am offered the position. Good luck to those who are trying to get in.
  • what kind of questions are asked at the face to face interview ect any info would be gratefully accepted ..

    thanks in advance Chris

Hi all, I had my final interview, recueved the email today saying you haven't been successful....I don't get it, the interview was bogus, it was a competency based interview, give examples of a time you did this n that...Wich I answered quite well and showed my willingness to go the extra mile, showed Gud problem solving skills etc....I dont get it...after so much time and effort put in the long waits and going thru all the different stages I get declined at the end.... To be honest every one can do the job for God sakes....as long as your compitent I dnt see why they would just Willy nilly reject someone....
Any ideas to what to do next or should I just leave it

what questions did they ask you mate and what was your replys ? could it be your previous work history ?

First of all sorry about your bad news but if you think that anybody can just walk in and do the jobs then you are very wrong i have seen countless people walk out and crack under the pressure of the job doing your job hundreds of times per shift in the set time cycles without error is a lot more difficult that people dont understand this a high pressured job with high volume because of the JLR success with group leaders and supervisors constantly on your mistakes to ensure the quality of the end product

100% correct, the job is much much harder than I anticipated, Im finding it a real challenge, but hopefully I think Im doing reasonably well. The time pressure is so much on the line that it really is quite difficult to keep up and keep 100% quality at the same time. No way the majority of random people could do the job..

Shutdown is from the 28th July so we will finish training, 2 weeks on the line then off for 2 weeks. This will be unpaid as we wont have accrued holidays.
