im in the exact same boat as you mate i had my interview the 19th

by any chance do you have to give your current employer any notice on you leaving (if your currently employed) because i believe thats whats holding me back

I had same worry. I thought my interview went really well. Girl even asked me if I had to definitely give one months notice. Could I get out of it or could I reduce it. I thought this was a positive that I'd done well and they might have a quick start date for me.

Problem is now I've heard nothing since. So I am worrying that maybe they don't like people having to work notice period and prefer people ready to start ASAP.

Would be something if they just contacted you to say you have been successful but we haven't got a start date for you just yet. :(
  • i said i had to give 2 weeks notice at the manual assesment but my boss said hed sort it so i could just leave if need be so i said 1 week but flexible at the interview. when they rang they asked which is it and i said id leave imeadiately but they gave me a weeks notice to start

just spoke to a woman on the phone at manpower . she said all vacancies at healwood had been filled
  • I had to give 4 weeks notice and I got a job, start in 2 weeks so I doubt your notice makes a difference. Its probably so they can sort your start date. They aren't going to employ whoever has the shortest notice, otherwise what is the point of 2 tests and an interview.

I know when the start dates are, but I don't think anyone has been called up for one so far.... getting fed up with manpower
  • applied for jlr wolverhampton in jan and got a manual assessment this week. Didnt even realise i had applied for the wolverhampton plant as castle brom and solihull are much closer. But was just wondering if anyone has completed the manual assessment at wolverhampton and how it was thanks guys.

I passed and got the email on 18th April and not heard yet. I did call them and they said that they are awaiting start dates from jaguar and as soon as they come through they will be contacting people.
It is horrible waiting, especially nearly 2 months knowing that you got the job but without a start date.
Im hoping good news is soon!!
