Can anybody tell me the rough age of manpower employees as I have had interview this week and im 51 probably too old in my opinion.but I have 20 odd years experience in repetative production line work.

I'm 44 and started 18 months ago, I'm working with lots of people who started at the same time, ages range from 20 - 55.

Seems to be quite an even split between youth and experience ;)

Hello everyone, has anyone been for a interview at halewood and heard anything yet??
I have been for mine on the 20/05.
Got an email the following Wednesday saying 'we are please to inform you that you have completed all assignments' blah blah.
Does this mean I have passed the interview.
Not had any contact from manpower except the email...

im in the exact same boat as you mate i had my interview the 19th

by any chance do you have to give your current employer any notice on you leaving (if your currently employed) because i believe thats whats holding me back

From what i have been told there are going to be 1700 jobs at land rover and 1400 jobs at jaguar castle brom and i think that it was around 800 at the engine plant at Wolverhampton so to all that are waiting fingers crossed and good luck there are a lot of jobs but a lot of competition for them

I cannot comment on the actual job as of yet as I have been in a classroom for the last 2 weeks and will be for the next 3 weeks but from what I've seen and heard its all very promising and exciting.
The manual assessment consisted of building the top half of an engine up ; putting camshafts in etc.

gavinh87 would you be able to tell me if they are still calling people for assessments or have they stopped. I done my online assessment in January and am still waiting for the manual assessment. Any help will be much appreciated thanks.

A friend of mine went for his assessment and interview in May and they definitely have not got all the people they want yet.
I think in total we have about 200 people here, so still plenty of room for more :)

I dont have to give any notice, so your guess is as good as mine. I take it you have had the same email as me then? I would not mind if I have been told 100% I have a job, and just waiting for a start date. This waiting for a phone call to say is a killer!!:( Back to my phone stuck to me again from monday morning.
