Ive passed all stages now and rang manpower who said I would have a start date within two weeks. That was two weeks ago so I rang today and was told they are not starting anyone for over 3 weeks so ring back then. Ive given up now. My partner started a month ago and hates it so its not worth the running around for

I had my interview 27th March and haven't heard anything yet. keep getting missed calls off unknown numbers though, not the same as the manpower private number previously used. Do manpower still ring you for the training or is it JLR?0 -

Hello again, is there anyone currently working for JLR?
If so, how are you finding it? I've heard some stories about how bad it is being there. I know people have their own opinions but is it really that bad?
I've actually heard someone say "its like being a robot". Is it really that mundane and repetitive?
It can't be that bad though as they have thousands of workers and surely all those cannot find it to be as bad as I've heard.

Previously worked on a production line, you are like a robot to some extent, working from bell to bell and at Solihull on a long shift Friday they get 400 cars completed, so that's 400 boot locks and 1200 screws (x3 in each) for example you personally have to fit (depending on your task obviously).
I'm guessing it's what you make of it though, if you get along with the people around you then you have a laugh and a joke to make it more enjoyable, plus wage is decent, the little perks with pension etc and working hours don't seem bad at all.0
